[QUOTE="Adziboy"]For **** sake, Gamespot has the most impatient, needy, selfish community in the entire world. Your getting free games and people still complain. I'd love to see the average age of gamers on this site... The hacking happened and it's over and Sony are dealing with the problem. There's reasons for them not bringing the store back at the same time as the free games. It's like you've just been told they are taking away your life forever, when in reality, they are postponing FREE games for security reasons for a few hours. I realise I will get modded for this, but it will be worth it.KamuiFei

Thank God I'm not the only who feels this way about the GS community. Not all the time, but lately its gotten worse... Props to you dude.

I have to agree too. Though Eurogamer actually has the worst community I've ever seen. :)

But Sony does owe their customers something.

Why do they owe us anything? They fixed the problem at no extra cost to their customers. That's all they "owe" us. They're being very generous with what they're giving us in the Welcome Back Program. Think about what it has cost them to have PSN down for almost a month, and the PS Store longer. Plus, what it has cost them to remedy their flawed security. Now, they're giving almost 80 million users up to 4 games each, a free month of PS+, a year of free protection through Debix, etc. Yet, you complain. What good is doing? Other than the humorous replies, I can't think of any good coming from your OP. Take a long look at the bigger picture here, and maybe you'll come to your senses.

OP, patience is a virtue.

And I agree with some of the above posters -- a once decent community is slowly becoming *****y.

I bet if the people doing the "welcome back" program at Sony read the opening of this thread, they'd be heartbroken that they're even wasting their time on people that complain this much about FREE stuff. I mean... holy ****.

I think Sony are just taking to many wrong steps. First the hack, then the rumours of another hack on the password reset system and now this? Yeah I guess it's a bit too impatient to expect the games to be straight up there with the PSN relaunch, but the free games were intended to keep their customers. Making them wait for the games even longer just seams like a big fat slap in the face.

I agree that Sony owe us nothing, evn though everyones security was jeprodised, and the free stuff is awesome (I know it saves me a few pounds) but I think if they are seen to do much else wrong, then the faith of even the strongest believers is going to be shaken.

Yes, because it makes much more sense to delay the store another day or two to finish testing on the Welcome Back program and make the people who want the stuff currently on the store, or with an online pass for Dirt3 to have to wait another day or two. That makes complete sense and I'm sure the people who want to play Dirt3 online will thank you for wanting them to miss out on two days of online play. Oh wait....that's right, it doesn't make any sense.

The greed, impatience, and self-entitlement in the world today is sickening. I'm all for Mutually Assured Destruction and just starting over. Maybe people will appreciate the important things in life a little more...if they're lucky enough to make it through to the other side.

Wow, you're almost as bad as the hackers for whining and complaining, Sony give you a free service that you whine and complain when it goes down, when it's back up you whine and complain the Store isn't up, when the store is up you whine and complain your free games aren't handed to you with a ribbon and bow-tie, when 50 million people are trying to download these games at the same time i'll bet it's you who comes to whine and complain "OMG so slow, Sony sucks wah wah wah!!!".

Appreciate what is given to you FOR FREE instead of complaining about what you don't have, Sony has absolutely no obligation to give you free stuff anyway and btw Sony never let our data get out, it was taken by force end of story, by this logic everyone in the world should carry around a vault to store their purse and wear bulletproof vests and have a can of mace incase they "Let" their wallet go to a man with a gun and a balaclava.
