WOW The Socom community is really horrible!!!!

I swear I just got done from playing a little while ago. I am the last man on my team running to kill commandos at their extraction and guess what happens. I get kicked like usual. I used to be a huge fan of Socom, but this last game is a love/hate relationship kind of thing. I have had very few games with good teammates, but most of those games get ruined by douchebags who do nothing but whine and complain. They kick people for no reason. I said in another thread about the Socom community, that I was playing a game and got teamkilled. I was the first man in the game dead. All of a sudden some a-hole says that I teamkilled him and tried to get me kicked. It is really shocking how the Socom community was known to be mature for the most part, but damn this games community really takes it down a big notch. I know there was another thread about this, but I got so pissed at the game, that I had to make a new one.

i havent played this game yet but i know what you mean;i hate bad game communitys such as halo were you get loads of kids bragging for hours and slagging you just because they killed you once or twice!...the COD4 community to me is pretty good because you dont get people complaining non stop and annoying 10th prestieges.And also gears of war is horrible when terible noobsa join the game and are screaming down the mic:"how did you kill me?i was definitally pressing the B button faster in that lancer battle!...bad game communitys put me of alot of games such as halo.

By all means...bash away !!!! lol The game had tons of potential but shouldn't have been released until they at least worked-out SOME if the bugs. I tried to deal with the bugs for 2 weeks but couldn't bring myself to spending another second playing online ''ONLY" to be kicked out of a game. I really wanted to like Socom but it had to many issues. The only good thing that came-out of the purchase was the Headset.

Is it really that bad?? I havent bought the new socom yet, was just waiting to hear the bugs were fixed. I never played socom before this one's beta and during beta the community seemed pretty good. Is it really that bad? I cant imagine it being like halo3 or gears2. Games i never play because everygame is filled with shouting little kids. Everygame ive played online has a small chance to find really annoying people(im talkin about 360) Do you really have that hard of time finding a good game?expandingeye

I loved the Socom beta. Then the full game came out and sucked hard with all the bugs and glitches. They have yet to fix many problems even after the latest super patch. Even if Socom was working perfectly day 1, it would have been put back in it's case when COD W@W came out anyway. W@W is superior in so many ways.hillelslovak

I actually totally agree .. went back to COD4, but mostly because I don't like the WW2 guns .. so plain and boring.

The single player was fun though ..

I agree the community isn't the greatest. They are probably no life people who play socom all day, and just wants to win. Some very nice people on it though. That is why my heart begins pumping like mad when I am the last one left. Because if I lose I will get a crap load of yelling from my team or even get kicked. idk761

TO the TC: I know where youre coming from but it seems to be luck of the draw with the people you play with. I would say the majority of the games I play end up being with people who are part of the "good community". If I get kicked it is pretty much always because a clan is trying to make room for one of their members to join. I understand it but I admit it can be extremely annoying. If I hear they are going to try and kick me, I normally seek out my revenge by team killing as many of them as I can before I get the boot lol. I think once we join a good clan this problem will no longer exist (or at least rarely exist).

TO anyone on the fence about the game: do yourself a favor and buy it. Most of the bugs are fixed. I play on avg 4 hours a day and hardly ever have issues with the game. The gameplay is addicting and when you get a kill it is very satisfying. The game is challenging, so if that's not your thing then don't get it. Play respawn games to start out if your new to Socom.

PSN = crucial_chronic if anyone wants to play sometime. The more people we get in a party the less chance we have of getting voted out by clans and dumbasses ;)

Like I said, there are some very cool people you can play with. The problem is those cool people are outnumbered by the number of douchebags in these games.jfcundiff

I forgot about SOCOM in less than two weeks after it came out. It's not even on the same level as COD and Rainbow Six and can not be compared. They both have better online with fewer bugs and even had time to include single player. How a company can butcher the online aspect of an online only game is beyond me.

Yeah, I was messing with him. It takes a whole year to forget about W@W yet it only took 2 weeks to forget about SOCOM. It had a touch of sarcasm.

Socom is one of if not the best online community EVER!

I don't have the new Socom because Slant 6 messed up this game, but I did play Socom II & CA for many many years.

I played Socom II online for 4 years. Clan wars are probably still going on for the PS2. 90% of people have a mic and actually try to come up with strageties to beat the other team. You don't see stuff like that in COD too much because there are no clan wars unless I'm playing with my friends. I think ou haven't played many online games to come out with a bold statement like that. I bet you Confrontation is the first Socom game you've ever played so you don't understand how to play. Its a tactical shooter you can't just rush through the level like all these other shooters.

Hopefully Killzone can be the best online shooter since S2 cuz I'm still waiting for a game that's good and has LEGIT clan wars, not just a tag in front of your name.

COD4 awesome but no clan wars

Socom Confrontation is too buggy but good clan system

MGO sucks so bad but has some clan support

Resistence 2 is pretty good online but not good clan support
