WOW The Socom community is really horrible!!!!

i havent played this game yet but i know what you mean;i hate bad game communitys such as halo were you get loads of kids bragging for hours and slagging you just because they killed you once or twice!...the COD4 community to me is pretty good because you dont get people complaining non stop and annoying 10th prestieges.And also gears of war is horrible when terible noobsa join the game and are screaming down the mic:"how did you kill me?i was definitally pressing the B button faster in that lancer battle!...bad game communitys put me of alot of games such as halo.

Socom is one of if not the best online community EVER!

I don't have the new Socom because Slant 6 messed up this game, but I did play Socom II & CA for many many years.

I played Socom II online for 4 years. Clan wars are probably still going on for the PS2. 90% of people have a mic and actually try to come up with strageties to beat the other team. You don't see stuff like that in COD too much because there are no clan wars unless I'm playing with my friends. I think ou haven't played many online games to come out with a bold statement like that. I bet you Confrontation is the first Socom game you've ever played so you don't understand how to play. Its a tactical shooter you can't just rush through the level like all these other shooters.

Hopefully Killzone can be the best online shooter since S2 cuz I'm still waiting for a game that's good and has LEGIT clan wars, not just a tag in front of your name.

COD4 awesome but no clan wars

Socom Confrontation is too buggy but good clan system

MGO sucks so bad but has some clan support

Resistence 2 is pretty good online but not good clan support

I do not suck at the game. I am getting even better. What happened with the scenario I was talking about was I was the last man alive on my team. As I was running to stop them from extracting the hosties, all of a sudden a vote pops up trying to kick me. The guys were in my sight of fire, and as I was getting ready to kill them, I got kicked. Other thing happened last night, where we had a guy sit outside the hostie builiding for us to watch over it. He was going to cover the front of the building. All of a sudden, people are trying to kick this dude. Once I died, and I saw the vote I asked why they are voting this guy. Their answer, "We do not know what he is doing." What kind of reason is that? We had a damn plan going and they tried to kick the guy helping us out. The community on this game gets a little to jumpy with the vote option. Every game I have played in I always see at least 2-3 people get kicked within a 2 map span. And most people who try and kick someone have no reason when you ask them why they are kicking someone. It gets ridiculous.

Yeah, I was messing with him. It takes a whole year to forget about W@W yet it only took 2 weeks to forget about SOCOM. It had a touch of sarcasm.

i know why people do that. and its for an even more douschbaggy reason than what you said. its cuz they dont want to have to wait the extra minute or two for you to win/get killed to play again. no matter what team they are on. last man on either team gets kicked a lot...shroom76

(at least most of the bugs have been fixed by now and the glitching is less frequent than those turds who glitch on W@W) americahellyeah

The fact that an online only game had this many problems with it's online aspect is just hilarious. COD W@W has a much better online experience and even has single player. SOCOM was just a $10 afterthought packaged with the official PS3 headset, nothing more.

The keyword there is HAD. Yes it HAD a lot of bugs and problems for the first few weeks it was out but that is the past. Plenty of good games have had issues at launch. My roommate has COD: WAW and I have Socom, and everytime i play WAW I disconnect or host leaves or I lag at least once in an hour. I go hours upon hours on socom without disconnecting or lagging. No joke. I know a lot of people want to believe otherwise but that's the fact.

I swear I just got done from playing a little while ago. I am the last man on my team running to kill commandos at their extraction and guess what happens. I get kicked like usual. I used to be a huge fan of Socom, but this last game is a love/hate relationship kind of thing. I have had very few games with good teammates, but most of those games get ruined by douchebags who do nothing but whine and complain. They kick people for no reason. I said in another thread about the Socom community, that I was playing a game and got teamkilled. I was the first man in the game dead. All of a sudden some a-hole says that I teamkilled him and tried to get me kicked. It is really shocking how the Socom community was known to be mature for the most part, but damn this games community really takes it down a big notch. I know there was another thread about this, but I got so pissed at the game, that I had to make a new one.

*EDIT: I am not bashing the game as a whole. The game is really good.

Actually, how a person judges something is based on personal preference. If an individual plays a game for a while and forms the opinion that the community is horrible, to that person he is correct. What should have been said was: "An online community can not be judged based on a few experiences alone".

-As for you, maybe u have bad luck. Honesttly im getting killzone 2 for gameplay, but i fear community wont be as good as socom. Socom will and always have the best commnuity in a game imo.

I loved the Socom beta. Then the full game came out and sucked hard with all the bugs and glitches. They have yet to fix many problems even after the latest super patch. Even if Socom was working perfectly day 1, it would have been put back in it's case when COD W@W came out anyway. W@W is superior in so many ways.hillelslovak

I bought this game because of the headset. Tried it out. I was kicked within two rounds. Nice community. You were right.

Its not like that game looks at all that promising anyways. Bad framerate. Graphics are junk. Gameplay is kind of lousy. Bad community. Not much I can see in this game that makes it worth the $3 I paid for it.

About the guy getting kicked while going to kill/rescue the vip's, well that happened yesterday while I was playing and I can definitly say why we kicked that person from the game. It was because each round he was no where near where he needed to be and was always the last person alive. So when once again it happened we casted the vote to kick him. Few rounds ok, few games your pushing it, so another words get in a unranked room/respawn room and learn the dang game lol. If you don't want to do that then definitly shadow someone else until you get the hang of it, atleast that way you can help out when someone who does know what to do is taking fire you can help. But to not know the mode, or the maps and then hide somewhere no where near the objective or action just tells everyone else your not going to learn, so lets get some help in here and vote that person out lol.

First off, I played WaW for like a week, and just laughed at how horrible its online was compared to Socom, it was lifeless, where as Socom there is a community inwhich to talk to and maybe come up with a plan to win the next round. And I have NEVER been kicked as last man standing, only kicked cause I joined a side that was mostly one clan and they were making room, after that I learned my lesson and don't join rooms that are full of clan members or don't join their side.

Waw has ALOT of disconnects, hosts leaves, and a huge amount of LAG, and its frame rate is alot worse than Socom any day lol. I will plainly say that Socom has really been great to play, and I play it way to much lol, like 4 to 6 hours a day during the week. My real friends play WaW and I don't even play with them because how bad I think that game is just lifeless , and just sucks, might aswell play cod4. All the while telling them to come and play where the big boys play and that is Socom.

Oh yea the Red Room's location is the room to the back left corner of the plaza if standing under the bridge at the bell tower, you can enter it by going up the steps from the plaza to the picnic area or the alley way to the left if standing under the bridge by the bell tower. The fish market is the room to the right of the plaza if looking in to the plaza from the bell tower, if you go in there, there is literally fish on the little tables lol. Also I hope you know where the bell tower is :)
