I'am sure that at least some of you watch x-play and saw there 2 star review of crisis core. I'am sure that some of you have seen the whiplash that followed it. my question is this, whats the big deal? seriously, whats wrong with them not liking it. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but even I can see that all your doing is moving from square to square, mashing the x button over and over. and if you want to disagree with me fine, just please be civil.

There is the fact that they have previous announced their dislike for Final Fantasy Games. With a few exceptions, they typically have a biased against FF games.

I personally think the battle system sucks but with the good STORYLINE and CG , it's definately not worth 2 stars. Then again, it's not worth a 9.0 rating from Gamespot too.

The game is not as good as people says. the ARPG style of gameplay somehow does not suit some or the ardent FF fans , me inluded. People still prefer the old time / classic RPG style of Final Fantasy.

I liked the classic Final Fantasy Active Time Battle ( ATB ) system alot more than this X button mashing , annoying DMW style of gameplay. The chain slash and air strike breaks were kinda stupid too. Imagine someone shaking his left arm here and there , saying " i know , i know."

I actually played the game for the sake of the STORY and CG. Not the gameplay, for me teh battle system is pathethic , then again, it's just my point of view , everyone has different taste so in the end the game really depends on your taste and liking.

If i'm a reviewer for X-Play , i'll give it 3 stars.

If i'm a reviewer for Gamespot , i'll give 8.0

I totally agree...I found it lame and boring gameplay. while the cg was great, it was destroyed by the linear gameplay dude. they desperately need to go back to turn based.

x-play gets alittle crazy when they give reviews, some games should be less stars, while others should get more

Hey guys! I know I might get flammed for this but I really find that it's a really great combat system, for me it's a lot better than the old system! (of course i'm not a die hard ff fan but anyway) and also how can you not find that the original system isn't repetitive?

Agreed. One thing people don't seem to be able to grasp is the fact that ALL reviws, I don't care how "unbiased" they claim to be, are nothing more then OPINIONS

The battle system wasn't that great, it was a big letdown. I don't think good graphics and average storyline was worth enough to get the praise everyone has been giving it.

I really enjoyed the battle system especially later in the game when you got to use more materia slots. Attack, avoid, defend on the fly was a really nice touch. As for xplay reviews they are opinions everyone has one.

i tend to look at good lengthly (time put into) reviews by customers (thats only reason why i use gamespot). I personally think half the ratings by gamespot are completely wrong (not only did other reviews give it a different score, but the people as well). Its all biased, and i realized that. I also strongly beleive gamespot are mostly xbox 360 favorers. Everyone has a different taste. Thats why for example, Monster Hunter getting a Terrible rating (twice) by gamespot doesnt mean its a bad game(i actually think the review is hypocritical and conflicting, read it,....it gives me a good laugh).

I guess for FF, people were like "how dare you disrespect a great series like that...

Its like giving Metal Gear Solid a terrible reivew (people would flip)..Its like Snake eater (the rating was in low 8's...people got mad)

But hey, if you dont like a rating, then dont base a purchase off that.

First of all ill start off by saying i found the battle system and level up system refreshing. I was immediately addicted to the story to the very end, even though like most people, i knew the inevitable outcome. The length of the game was perfect, the graphics were spectacular. But like people stated its an opinion, if you don't agree with them then ignore the review. oh yah btw i think there is 2 reviews because one was an April's fools joke.

First, thanks for being civil. Second, adam has expressed his dislike of final fantasy, but the other reviewers have not. the hole thing is that the game was good in short burst but, if played for short periods of time, was just long and repetitive.

I agree with u kill, that x-play should have given it a higher rating, I thought it was a wicked game that didn't have alot of things wrong with it. The only thing i thought that was bad was the whole leveling up thing but other then that nothing. it has a great story, awesome graphics, and even the combat wasn't bad. So I dont see any reason to give it 2 out of 5.

On one side.. Who cares its their opinion.. Sense when is their opinion law?

Secondly I stopped really taking G4 seriously on the Crysis review.. Now I didn't expect them to rate it awesome like so many other people.. I really didn't care about their score.. It was after the review Adam claimed that it would take a upgrade of $2000 to run the game.. Wtf?

I never said I disagreed with there opinion. Sure, I like the game, but it still is only for ff fans only. Though I probably would have given it a 3 not a 2.
