Yellow Light error??

Can anyone explain this to me? I was resaerching known malfunctions for ps3. (Most were just dead/jammed disk drives) and found this. I hope this is just a small issue.

The only yellow light i can think of on a ps3 is the HD one when its installing or being accessed?

I think it involves some error with the hard drive. It's basically equivalent to RRoD, but nowhere near as common. You'll still have to send it in for repair though.

i thought the yellow light meant that the hard drive was disconnected or something, i think for that it means you need to tighten it but id call sony about it for confirmation

Thats the indicator light on a 60Gb above/below the memory card reader slots-when you insert a Duo Memory stick-it flashes the same as the HD light

Its usally cause theres a problem with your HDD. Take out the HDD then put it back .. see what happens. If it doesnt work, call Sony.

How is it equivalent?

Its nothing like the RROD, the Yellow Light is very rare and has to do with the HDD not the processor.

I heard that YLOD is coused by faulty power supply, there should be some video on youtube about it and how to fix it on your own
