I think it involves some error with the hard drive. It's basically equivalent to RRoD, but nowhere near as common. You'll still have to send it in for repair though.CJL182
Can anyone explain this to me? I was resaerching known malfunctions for ps3. (Most were just dead/jammed disk drives) and found this. I hope this is just a small issue. killer_chibi
Its usally cause theres a problem with your HDD. Take out the HDD then put it back .. see what happens. If it doesnt work, call Sony.

Its nothing like the RROD, the Yellow Light is very rare and has to do with the HDD not the processor.
