I'll probably get Black Ops and it'll probably be my last COD, if the law suit goes for Zampella and the other guy Activision is just going to turn into another MidWay

To their credit, this is different. The games may share the same name, but there are 2 different development teams at play here. So sure it may come out every yeah, but the game is actually in development for a couple. Having said that tho, I really, REALLY dislike trechion, or whatever the hell there name is, so any COD game they make I stay the hell away from. The only saving grace for them was the zombies. It also looks like infinity ward is having so many problems we won't be able to count on them for the same quality of game. So in short.. neither.

Probably neither. I barely play MW2 as is. I'd be more likely to buy MW3 though cause I have no plans on buying another CoD game for at least 2 years, if at all.

See, There I disagree why do people prefer IW over trey? Trey updates glitchs fast, they give lasg free servers to PC players, they support there product well with DLC. They even offered a great Zombie mode that was new to the series and wayy above spec ops. And I'm sure EA has more then one dev working on Madden, if not I'm sure its bigger then IW and Trey.

I plan to avoid COD games, perhaps even Activision, i would rather see my money else where. Though Treyarch's versions are good fun, i doubt i'll get it, since it's more of the same and i find the online in COD works me up very easily, i feel much better when i don't play it. On a side note there's a good chance IW will be closing, which means the duties of MW3 will be split between the two companies, therefore it could be very different from the previous.

Depends on what other games are out around the release of these games. If I thinks something is better I'll end up going with that instead of this.

Because I hate the first player experience when Trey develops them. As I said, I give them credit for the zombies, me and my roommate have spent many hours getting head shots on zombies. Other then that tho... give me infinity ward anyday. Maybe they do update glitches faster as you said, and lord knows MW2 is filled with them, but if a game doesn't have a solid fun single player, then I won't get it.

No and no. There are a lot other things I'd rather do than play COD or MW games, they are filled with pure frustration IMO.

I'll be getting , I'm all for a new scenario and time frame , Vietnam and 60's , 70's , mostly because only a handful of games explored it.

I really doubt we are gonna see MW3 , but that's just me and my spidey sense tingling , I'd get it if they ever release it though.

I wasn't surprised though at some of the replies though. GameSpot is FILLED with crybabies who hate on COD. WAAAAH WAAAAH WAAAAAAAAAAH lol.

Its also filled with crybabies who don't understand how the franchise has lost its appeal all of a sudden. Nobody really hated on it at all until they got their hands on MW2's multiplayer. If they want to get their fans back they better "un-improve" the multiplayer and revert it back to the skill-based game it was with COD4 and W@W.

After being disappointed by two COD games in a row, I think I'll pass on them from now on. I am somewhat interested in this one because of the campaign but I didn't like the direction MW2 headed with it's multiplayer and I have doubts Treyarch can really shifted my opinion.

Neither, im done with these frequent cod releases. Maybe if mw3 is innovative and amazingly awesome, if not ill stick with mw 1+2 and yes, cod1.

im only gonna get black ops if it has some sort of zombies mode, but either way ill be getting MW3, assumming IW can overcome the loss of their top executives and designers and make a new game,

I am not willing to pay for any CoD game for full price. Besides, Modern Warfare 4 will be out by the time I beat CoD WaW on veteran! :evil:

As much as I hated MW2 I feel I have to give COD one last try, so I'll give Treyarch a chance with this Cold War setting. If it doesn't hold up, I'll just go back to BC2 and the new Medal of Honor.

Looks good so far. MW2 had such a crappy campaign (in terms of storyline, not of action, which was thoroughly good) I'll hesitate.

And I've gotta say that World at War never interested me. I rented it because my friend wanted to try it before he bought his PS3. Not extremely bad, but far from good as well.

Until then, I play BC2 online. :D

Buy - Black Ops - Cold War is great, I actually like Treyarch a lot more now, plus I suspect Commie Zombies. Also, I await to see how the features from MW2 are carried over, I just hope it's a lot more like COD4/W@W though...

Rent/pass - MW3 - It's going to suck big time. IW won't even make it, but since it will have "Modern Warfare" on the box people will make it the best game ever. If I do rent it, it will be just to find out the ending to single-player.

Black Ops definitely. I don't even know who's developing MW3, if its still Infinity Ward, that's obviously a fail, if it's someone else, that will still be a fail. After MW2, I don't support Activision anymore. However, I admire the talents of Treyarch, so I will look forward to CoD: Black Ops. Not day 1 though.

I won't be buying another COD game. I was sick of the formula after COD4 but I bought MW2 anyway. Mainly because I felt like I was missing out on something. I wasn't. MW2 only made me realise how much I dislike the COD games. I returned MW2 to the store I purchased it from and got a refund. Really, really didn't like it.

black ops is modern warfare 3.. they just changed the title so it will not have any relation to modern warfare, its just the same game with different story, setting, weapons, etc all im looking for is the co op in black ops

I'll only buy it if Sainsburys (UK supermarket) are selling it for 26 Pound again, beet the SP play a bit of the MP and sell it for profit :D
