If either game turns out to be good, then i will pick them up. I thought MW2 was ok, nothing special though.
Considering it, I shall wait for reviews and whatnot. I will however be picking up the new Medal of Honor game that comes out Oct.
No, I make fun of people who buy sport games due to them coming out every year. So now..., I can make fun of people who buy FPS that come out every year.FightingfanWhy do you make fun of them? If you were a fan of sports, you would know it's vital to have a game coming constantly, or at least updates. It's very fair to have a year between each game, with an update averaging every month or so. If it was longer, say 2 years, everyone would go with pro evo. In fact, I should be making fun of you becase you're being so ignorant.
I'll rent black ops have my fun for a week and return it. If your just dying to play MW3 you'll have to sit back and wait till Respawn comes out with their first game.

The games may share the same name, but there are 2 different development teams at play here. So sure it may come out every yeah, but the game is actually in development for a couple. Having said that tho, I really, REALLY dislike trechion, or whatever the hell there name is, so any COD game they make I stay the hell away from. The only saving grace for them was the zombies. It also looks like infinity ward is having so many problems we won't be able to count on them for the same quality of game. So in short.. neither. See, There I disagree why do people prefer IW over trey? Trey updates glitchs fast, they give lasg free servers to PC players, they support there product well with DLC. They even offered a great Zombie mode that was new to the series and wayy above spec ops. And I'm sure EA has more then one dev working on Madden, if not I'm sure its bigger then IW and Trey. Because IW makes the better games. They develop the best engines, best matchmaking systems, best online interfaces (you can't compare the deepness of Modern Warfare 2's class creation system with any other game out there) and best action sequences in the campaign. Seriously, the snowmobile sequence in MW2 was just mindblowing. And I barely ever get so impressed with a game. I think people TRY not to like Call of Duty nowadays, because it's such a moneymaker, just like people boycotting Avatar just to prove it wasn't being universally hyped and that James Cameron didn't have the world in the palm of his hands. But he did, so why fight it? I say buy the games, play them and have your 60 bucks' worth, or more. If you don't like run and gun shooters, you can't go wrong with Call of Duty.

Have you completely ignored all the latest news about Infinity Ward? Theyre not themselves any more 35 MAJOR developers have left the company, the writers, designers, artists etc that worked on COD4 and MW2 do not work there any more. So no, no COD will ever be as impressive or ahead of its time than the present IW releases
Don't care about either. You can only play so many shooters, and Call of Duty is just getting so tired at this point.
I'm not paying $60 for another undoubtely 6 hour campaign, and the IDENTICAL online experience repackaged with nothing substantive except some new maps. Oh and each map pack will undoubtedly cost $15 as well.
I lost interest when they PROUDLY announced plans on putting out the same game every year. Such a joke.
I don't like call of duty games so if i had it my way i wouldn't get either one. However, the people i play games with will most likely get both and nag me to death until i get them so more than likely i will get both and play them for max 6hrs over a few months before i throw them in the trash.

You have got to be kidding me...
MW2 doesn't even have dedicated servers and you are saying it has the best matchmaking?
Here's some examples to show of IW's great matchmaking

Also, the worst point of your argument is about the engine. You do know that IW and Treyarch use the exact same engine right? Also, there are much better engines out besides COD. These include the Unreal and Cryengines.

I'm not arguing. To argue is to try to convince someone of one's point. I'm not. You don't have to agree with me to know that a game can only get so good with matchmaking, especially when its cramped servers have 500.000 daily players. I dare you to show me a game with a faster host migration than IW's.I'll be waiting for the reviews before I buy either. Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer was a huge letdown so I'll wait and see. Black Ops does have a lot of potential though.
Maybe Black Ops. But that's after the price goes down, after a few months. Not MW 3. I bought the second one because of the hype. It was fun for a while, but I realized that I am much more of a fan of old settings. I still love World War 2 games, so the Black Ops setting will be interesting, set in the during the Cold War.
I'll support whatever Respawn puts out, but anything coming from Activision won't get a dime from me. People need to put their money where their mouth is.
