GTA IV has 16 MP last I heard. Keep in mind Insomniac has their own servers, so they are possibly upgrading from the previous 40 MP and working with Sony's PSN directly.
GTAIV, Rockstar is limited because it went multiplatform and 16 was probably the max they could do with both systems.
Haha, yeah, good one. A dev team with no PS3 experience with a series that has never supported multiplayer in the past which will go multiplatform able to support 60 players online like a dedicated 3rd party dev with two stellar outings on the PS3, including one incredible multiplayer experience supporting 40 player matches? Unless it is some kind of MMORPG or something, there's just no way.
