your most EPIC MOMENT in gaming

i would hafta say

that after being 8, playing mgs1, WAITING for mgs2, then 3, then waiting for mgs 4, and FINALLY getting the END ALL FIST FIGHT with liquid, man to man, on top of whatever "gear" it was called, for me was the GREATEST video game moment ever. 10 yrs in the making for me

Being the only prestige level 1 player in a room full of gold crosses during a game of Search & Destroy and having my whole team die on me only to take on and obliterate 2 of the 6 people on the other team, plant the bomb and take out the other 4 while they scramble to defuse it.

But alas, such days of when being a gold cross merited respect and recognition have long since passed.

I just got a PS3. I will get MGS4 though. I was gonna get SOCOM first, but played the MGO demo and am getting MGS4 right after xmas :D

Don't worry, there are plenty of amazing and shocking moments in MGS4, this is really not much of a spoiler. Seriously though, you need to play it... :)

Raiden fights Vamp and the Gekko in South America. Badass.

NOTHING beats the feeling I got returning to Shadow Moses and every single thing that happens during that first sequence, from playing in the oldschool PS1 graphics, the audio clips, the scene with the security camera haha.

Killing bad guys in slow motion in Max Payne was pretty cool back in the day as well as killing that badass black dragon in Baldur's Gate II

First of all i got a lot, so ill list them here haha.

Beating Bowswer in Super Mario 64, beating MGS3 (the whole string of gameplay and cutscenes in the end were jaw-dropping). Some other epic moments were in Shadow of the colussus when *SPOILERS* Agro falls in teh chasm *SPOILERS END HERE*, and in Bioshock when *SPOILErS* you find out that Atlas was controlling u all along with 1 SIMPLE phrase *SPOILERS END HERE*, Starfox64 when ur following Fox's ghost dad thru teh tunnels after beating Andrew (was that the name? i forgot). There are a lot more, but these definitely come to mind when thinking of epic/memorable moments in gaming.

Actually, I agree, but i like the MGS4 *SPOILERS* re-visitation of Shadow Moses better, including the flashbacks...that was epic, and i think those flashbacks lend alot to MGS4, and are simply 1 of the main reasons why it gets a 10/10 on GS - those flashbacks, on an emotional scale, were pretty much 11/10, no exaggeration *SPOILERS END HERE*

obviouslly it wasn't the first time cloud pwnd him, but you have to play the game to know that ;) sigh... psx, ff7.... good times.

Logging over 100 hours on FFX and then finally completing it.....one shotting all the end bosses was pretty fun. Trick933

that's what i loved about ff10, the almost limitless opportunity to beef up your characters by 1) getting the ultimate weopons to breakthrough the 9999 mark, and 2) letting characters access eachothers' sphere grid (which by the way, is more fun than the classic level up system (accumulating experince)).

man and going back to Shadow Moses was an OMG moment for me and when "The Best is Yet to Come" was played, I shed a tear because the whole act took me back to 10 years when I was 10 years old playing MGS1. :(:( The game and the whole SAGA is soooooooo fricking AMAZING!!!!!!!! THANK YOU HIDEO!!!

In COD4 when the nuclear bomb explodes and in Resistance 2 when Capelli shoots Hale in the head.

December 1980. I was turning 8 and my father hadn't given me my B-day gift yet. I was watching tv after dinner when I was told to take out the trash. I remember whining about it because it was cold outside, but I went out to the kitchen and grabbed a black trash bag out of my fathers hand. Surprisingly this bag was much heavier than normal, and it wasn't tied shut. I peaked inside and to my surprise it was a NES with Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt. That may have been the best B-day ever!!!

yeah that game just kickass, but i think i went too far, doing to the final story boss (spoiler:tidus dad) 9999dmg lol i was like wtf why so easy noooo, then i defeated the nonstory harder boss, forgot his name
