As awesome as Marvel vs Capcom 3 is going to be. I can't help but feel like I'm being ripped off (or setting myself up for that).
Last time, they gave us fans 56 playable characters.
This time: 34.
That means the roster in MVC3 is only 60% of what MVC2 was.
So hmmm; gee boss, where's the other 22? My guess is that Capcom has decided we can all pay extra for that later. And judging by the prices they demand for their DLC, it's going to be a VERY bumpy ride.
I'm not a fan of what Capcom has become. They've lost their way big time.
Their idea of evolving gaming isn't about building games that out-do their predecessors. No, they've been spending all their creative energy on figuring out ways to suck your wallet dry. Capcom hasn't approached this gen with any kind of honor or goodwill towards the fans of their franchises.
Would it be alright if the next Gran Turismo had 40% LESS cars? Or if the next COD had 40% less weapons?
How about paying for skins for these games? I didn't think so.
So what are your thoughts on this, and on Capcom this gen as a whole?
