Well, in my opinion. PSV only for PS+ isn't worth it. I advice to do some research if there are any games for the Vita that you may like, so your purchase is atleast not a waste of money.

I might buy it soon, if I get stupid enough. Persona 4, DJMAX, Gravity Rush.... I might just fool myself into thinking buying it for those three just might be worth it. ..... or I might just buy P4G and wait for the price drop on the Vita itself later. I have a feeling the version of P4G I want is going to go rare very soon.

The Vita is a great handheld. I myself was a little undecided about it as well till black friday came along and I had the chance to snatch it for a good price. all I actually have on it is cod:bod(came with it), persona 4 golden and gravity rush, but thats enough to last me till soul sacrifice. besides the game shortage, it functions really well with the brower and youtube and such, much more smooth than the psp did.

It's a wonderful hardware, lots of potential for truly great games and it's a true successor to the PSP. Unfortunately, the games are still on their way and the price point is too high with very small and overprices memory card included in bundles.

Unless you can get it on the deal, 249$ (without tax) is just way too high for its current game library.

I'm confident that once we see few excellent quality games for the Vita with better bundles and larger memory cards with it, the handheld will skyrocket in sales. That's all it really needs, few excellent games.

If you'll play the games, then its worth it.  I would recommend looking up the library.  Obviously Uncharted Golden Abyss and Gravity Rush are two of Vita's top games.  You get them for free with Plus.

Ideally you want to get a bundle.  The $250 bundles are still out there in some stores.  That's a Wifi Vita, a game or PS+ membership (depending on the bundle), and a 4GB memory card to get you going.

The price for Vita itself is not too high as long as you are going to use it.  $250 is only $50 more expensive than 3DS and cheap compared to most tablets out there people use for games.  I'm pretty sure Vita wont be getting below $200 for a long time if at all.  Not with its functionality and really thats ok.  its far more functional than a PSP/Go.  The price kicker is the memory cards.  Those are what Sony needs to drop in price.  You really need to watch for sales on those as the 16GB and 32GB will run you $60-$90 a peice regular price.

I agree with everything except for the price point you mention. It's way above 50$ more for the PS Vita my friend. Here in Canada Best Buy's, Future Shop and EB Games/Gamestop PS Vita bundles are all prices at 249.00$ (with only 4GB memory cards) and 3DS is 139$ which comes with 2GB memory card. The price difference is well over 100+ dollars and 3DS library is more robust in much higher games library. Just look at upcoming lineup.

I'm in no means protecting 3DS, I have played Uncharted, Gravity Rush and Ninja Gaiden Sigma + which I all got free being PS+ subscriber (which is also 50$ price point adding to the cost of Vita) it's not nearly enough for majority of people to pay 280$ (with taxes).

Persona 4 Golden is fantastic but we need more quality games for the Vita, price drop, cheaper memory cards.

I can't justify almost 300$ on a portable machine that doesn't have strong gaming library, not to mention the memory cards are again, extremely overprices. To add decent, at least 8GB (preferably 16GB) memory card - that 300$ price point? It's well exceeded and if you want PS+ to get those free games on PSN the price goes up even more.

I'm a gamer, I don't play console wars, but Vita needs to drop in price significantly to be competitive. I owned PSP, 1000-3000 models and I had been PlayStation gamer since 1996. I want Vita in my collection but now is not the time.

I think that, for a person who plans to use PS+ and go (almost) all digital a 16 Mb card would be necessary. And those are insanely priced!...

I have had the PSvita since Feb 15th 2012. So it had been a great portable experience. The PSvita is worth it. 20 Retail games and 15 downloadable games. So far I have no comlpaints with Sony's handheld. The screen is great, the controls are smooth and responsive.

I enjoyed the PSP, so PSvita is an awesome advancement. Sony should just include a memory Card with every PSvita. That may help sales. There are plenty of games so you should find something you like. Sony just has to work on there marketing of the PSvita. But this system is worth it.

I've seen people complain a lot about the vita. In all honesty I can't live without it. I bought it in Feb 2012 at launch with uncharted. I didn't like many of the games available. Around may i sold it off.  then i felt incomplete lol. I bought the vita again in september. Bought gravity rush and fell in love with it. Fifa NFS all are beautiful games. I have the 3ds XL as well which is rich in titles but the raw power of the vita and the comfortable controls just wins it. I would say the best part about the vita is the standby mode (for me atleast). I'm playing a match of fifa and I put it on standby for 3 days and then continue again when I feel like it. It's just a very amazing experience to be able to just press a button and start playing where you left off and I am specially impressed with NFS Most Wanted>> the amount of power that the vita can dish out is just amazing. Sony should really do something about the vita. its a brilliant handheld that nobody's buying. maybe they should open up the android market to the vita.

once you go ps vita, you never go back. until you have played all the games at least.

ps plus really compliments vita, especially with extra 3 month on 1 year sub deal going on.Â
