This is a really tough one because some of the devs I love are only loved because of one game. Hmmm if I had to put 3 up I guess I would say

Nintendo (if this counts. I don't own a Wii due to the casual style :(, but if Zelda is as really good as usual I might end up buying a Wii again)

Hmm I would have to go with Konami for The Metal Gear saga and ofcourse Silent Hill,2k boston (or irrational gamer) for Bioshock, and 3drealms for the duke . Also Blizzard for Diablo 2 and thank you to that guy above me for reminding me of good ol Uber Diablo lol.

1. Sony Worldwide Studios- I commend Sony for taking the effort to supply their consoles with fantastic first party exclusives. Nintendo is also really great, but I put them a notch lower because they continue to milk the SAME franchises over and over and over and and you get my drift...Everything from God of War to Little Big Planet to Wipeout HD to MLB: The Show. Not only do these guys pump out GREAT games, but they also show amazing diversity throughout their portfolio. I'm almost always willing to pay full retail price for their games...

2. Hideo Kojima- I LOVE Metal Gear Solid. I love that he has a certain style and sticks to it. His games really push the hardware, regardless of the platform. The combination of story, style, graphics, soundtrack, controls, everything...simply top notch.

3. Naughty Dog- Sony's best 2nd party developer. They're independent, but they work exclusively on Sony platforms. I'm trying to remember if these guys ever made a bad game. These guys have complete mastery over the PS3 hardware. Every single time I load up Uncharted 2, I continue to be amazed at the AMAZING production values their games have. I will happily buy ANYTHING these guys create.
