This was just the latest one. A Milwaukee community leader in the past week supported Trump and he was killed for it.

Wow how embarrassing for you. You can't defend your non-point anymore so you have to deflect to a completely different and unrelated story? And by the by, if you're referring to Bernell Trammell there is no evidence to indicate his death was politically motivated, he just so happened to support Trump but he also supports BLM and other left leaning movements as well. So even with the desperate reach you have failed again.

https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/crime/2020/07/26/milwaukees-bernell-trammell-fatally-shot-what-we-know-death-trump-support-black-lives-matter/5514083002/

"But Trammell also supported the Black Lives Matter movement and progressive Democrat Lena Taylor in her run for mayor, and so far there is no indication of a political motive."

Lol a left winger using lack of evidence as a defense is funny. Did BLM need proof that any of the 3 major incidents they protested were racially motivated? I mean it was proven in 2 that they weren't. And George floyd still has no evidence except the fact the officer was white.

Did congress need any evidence to launch the Russia hoax or impeachment? Did they need proof to drag Kavanaugh through the mud? Did they need proof to lie and slander Nicholas Sandman(lucky rich kid now). Did they need proof to support Jessie Smallet? Did they need proof that a knot in a garage door that comes out of the factory like that was a noose?

If I wracked my brain i could probably think of a few more. You would not want me to go into how they quote the constitution as a defense and shit on it later.

And there is at least some proof Trammel was shot out of political motive. He Was carrying a sign that supports Trump would at least make the motive being political the number 1 suspect. He was also a well known Trump supporter with no other activities that would be motivation for the assassination.

Maybe because it is the first time in history a President is for the people and not themselves or the Washington establishment. When was the last time a president stood up for the United States?

trump is NOT for the people. He's for trump. All his policies positively impact him. He's doesn't give a rat's ass about you. His handling of covid should be more than enough evidence of that.

When Joe Biden was ask by MSNBC after he had just railed against Trumps handling of the COVID 19 virus he gave six things he would do, unfortunately for him Trump had already done a number of them and was in the process of doing the rest of them. So much for Joe and his ability to out do Trump.

His policies have also positively impacted America of course the media will ignore that and only focus on something that will make him look bad. If they can't find a story they make one up.

@gaeandilth: "Lol a left winger using lack of evidence as a defense is funny."

What a shitpost. If you have no evidence just admit it or don't post, there's no need to reply with an accusatory @ if you can't appropriately refute the point. Every rhetorical question you tried to deflect with is completely irrelevant to my post and the thread at large. Not to mention, there was plenty of evidence for some of those, but again, that's neither here nor there.

"And there is at least some proof Trammel was shot out of political motive. He Was carrying a sign that supports Trump would at least make the motive being political the number 1 suspect."

That's not proof at all. If that were the motivation, we should have expected a string of MAGA hat murders in Milwaukee, because the logical throughline is if it was politically motivated, why would the perpetrator target only one Trump supporter of many? Also, why target a guy just for a sign instead of someone more significant like fundraisers or Trump office workers? There's plenty of counter protesters out and about too after all. Combine that with the reality that there is nothing yet suggesting the perpetrator was politically biased and the bias was what caused the murder. Per multiple local papers, Milwaukee police agree the motive is as of yet undetermined. You're reaching too hard to defend far right talking points from terribly sourced material.

@Vaasman Said there was some proof as in evidence that at least points in the general direction of political bias. Pretty much said it was highly probable. A 60 year old man was assassinated. This was not a random event. He was not just a sign holder he was a well known trump supporter who had just hours prior, in the exact spot he was murdered, did a video interview discussing his support of trump.

And even if law enforcement knew damn well it was political they would not tell you about it while the investigation was still underway. And the "nothing to suggest the perpetrator was politically motivated" is a flat out lie. The circumstances themselves are much more then just a suggestion. I mean this is like saying there is no proof drinking and driving had anything to do with the accident when your car is full of beer cans. I mean it is not proof but it is pretty damn likely.

The only flat out lie here is your shit analogy. There isn't 40% of the population drunk driving out in the country demonstrating that people drunk drive all the time without getting into accidents, which is what it would be like in this comparison. Politically motivated simply will never hold up if you have no information on the perpetrator's mental profile to develop a proper correlation. It's as simple as that.

In all seriousness, I actually have lost a client over politics. I know it's one of those topics you just don't discuss professionally but she'd cornered me after our meeting and wouldn't let me leave, lol. It was all pretty friendly and diplomatic I'd thought but she noticeably turned irritable when I kind of shrugged off her comment that populism was communism, which just sounded bizarre to me. Trump's presidency had also come up right before that, and I hadn't committed to agreeing with her on that subject either. Wish she'd never brought it up in the first place, but I'm not going to lie if someone pushes me for a response.

The fact is that people do often have this expectation that any sane person is going to agree with them on questions which really aren't black and white, and honestly, the worst thing you can do IMO is to ostracise people you disagree with. Don't want Trump supporters to act like a cult? Don't make them feel like you're cutting them out of polite society for having a different perspective, because that's a damn good way of reinforcing those divisions and beliefs. Sure, that's not an anecdote about the USA and maybe it's not the norm, but let's not pretend there isn't enormous social pressure to hold certain opinions for fear of being treated like a monster by a good portion of the population.

I'm pretty much ostracized from polite society in my town because I'm an atheist. Many people won't even look at me if I pass and nod a hello to them on the sidewalk.

Tribalism is basic human nature.

Yeah, you're right, but at some point you've got to evolve beyond letting differences of opinion rule your life and relationships, right? It just smacks of false tolerance on both sides.

Apparently, because I'm an atheist, I have some kind of evil agenda that involves, I don't know, working with the cabal or something?

Kinda hard to have a discussion with someone when they won't even acknowledge your presence, and anything you do is interpreted as furthering an agenda.

Yet I'm not the one waking hungover people up at 10am on a Saturday knocking on the door to ask if they've found Jesus. I swear, next time, I'm going to say "He's working on the roof, maybe you should go give him a hand."

The Catholic Church...a combination of The Church of Ba'al (Prayer candles, stations, praying to saints, veneration of body parts, Queen of Heaven (Mary/Asherah), etc.) and select heavily edited Christian texts. A bastard organization, in other words.

I've had some of those door knockers in tears. I play games with them.

"Your God is a hateful God" I'll say.

"He's full of love, and he loves you." They replied.

"Can you read Psalm 137:9 out loud for me, please?"

"Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones." -Them

"So you worship a Baby killer." - Me

"Well..." -Them

"How about 2nd Samuel 12: 14-18?" -Me

"Well..." -Them

"Or how about 2Kings when Elisha set bears on 42 young boys for calling him baldy? Sounds like God is pretty good at doing evil." -Me

"....." - Starting to cry "God doesn't know evil." -Them

"Really? Isaiah 45:7, can you read that out loud please?" -Me

“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” -Them

"So how are you out there proselytizing to me when you don't even know what you're talking about?" -Me

"I'm doing what?" - Them

"Proselytizing." - Me

"What's that?" - Them

"Seriously? Go back and learn your book, you obviously have no idea what's in it."

/she walks away crying.

I know...people just accept the legacy of The Church at face value and fail to do any extra-biblical study. The Council of Trent has many stories surrounding it, mostly political and power-oriented. Are you familiar with the period?

We already know Yahweh is a conflation of El. This is why Asherah is his female consort in the early OT (though her name if often translated to Pole or Grove...it wasn't until 2 Kings that Asherah was removed from the temple).

Though we definitely still see division between the two beings in some scattered verses. Here's one, I have included the Hebrew proper nouns in parentheses:

When the Most High (El ELyon) gave the nations their inheritance, When He separated the sons of man, He set the boundaries of the peoples According to the number of the sons of God (Bene Ha'ELohim) in His divine court. For the LORD'S (Yahweh) portion is His people; Jacob is the allotment of His inheritance. Deuteronomy 32:8-9

I have my limits. Most people who know me say I'm the most laid back person they know. I don't get dramatic over much.

But you keep waking my ass up at 10am on a Saturday, after I've sent polite letters, spoken politely with the pastors, made my desire to be left alone in every way I can imagine, and yet they still knock...

...**** em. I can be a persistent ass if I want to be, and I'm damn good at it. They're going to stop knocking on my door one way or the other.

I don't go to bed till the sun comes up. I'm getting my best sleep when these bastards are out walking the neighborhood.

If you are disrespecting others to evangelize, you only have yourself to blame if they counter your evangelization by disrespecting your faith.

@Vaasman: My shit analogy? What 40 percent you talking about? Not even 1 percent are protesting. What have you said, a single point that proves that anything but political motivation was the reason? All you have done is mouthed off and act correct even though you are not. Anyone without an agenda with an objective view can see this is most likely a politically motivated assassination. You will not, no matter what I say, agree because it does not fit your small minded narrative,

Neither of us can prove for a fact what happened but it is obvious who has at least some facts that prove their point. You have no point which is exactly why the democrats are going to lose because their entire platform has NO POINT except to hate trump.

You said I was using talking points yet your only defense was " but the media said" you do realize how that is ironic?

Democrats have no point. they have no agenda except to hate Trump, They race bait and stoke the flames of hate for political gain. The Democrats are not that much different in 2020 than they were in 1860. And just like in 1860 they are going to get beat by Trump in November just like they was beat in 1865 by President Lincoln.

All you really have to do with JWs is point out the hypocrisies in the bible and they'll get the message. They'll make a note of you being "hostile" after a while and won't return. The bible is a mixed bag of messages anyway. From the anger and wrath of the Old Testament, to the love and tolerant message of Jesus. Well, which is it, Bible? Both of these notions can't really co-exist.

They're not JWs, they're Southern Baptists. And they're persistent fuckers. I had one tell me "I'm going to make you my special project." I just replied with "I'm going to make you arrested if you step through my gate again."

There's an endless supply of them locally, they just keep coming.

I found it's best not to engage them in discussion on any level. It's enough to keep them at the gate and say, "Faith's a personal thing. I'm happy and I'm not interested in talking about it." Be polite, turn down their literature and all's good. JW's, and a couple of other sects, are making a big push lately in central and Eastern Europe and it's making them a lot of enemies for their causes. I'm not out to make their day any worse, but at the same time I just don't want to hear it.

I tried that for the first few years living here. Doesn't work. These fuckers are on a mission.

I knew I shouldn't have replaced the bleeding pentagrams. >:-(

I'm in the Bible Belt. I kid you not, there are places in this town you can stand and be right at three different baptist churches. No kidding check it out, there are three churches (and a house) in this shot:

Not at all unusual for this area.

@br0kenrabbit: Damn. Well I guess that's a different story then, lol.

Here, most of the fringe religious groups are holed up in one small area of town. No idea why they've done that if they're not coordinating. Makes people suspicious as hell.

It's blanket coverage here. If you pan the above shot to the left you'd actually see two more churches. :-\

I had a Darwin fish sticker on my car at one time. I kept getting pamphlets on my windshield anytime I would park downtown, and someone eventually scratched a cross into my paint. I'm pretty well known among the people in county government because I volunteer to do IT stuff at the schools and the local paper, but not one of them would ever think of inviting me over for dinner because I am 'other'.

And probably have sex with Satan's minions.

Go tell your boss you're trump supporter and see what happens.

My boss is a Trump supporter...

...In California...

...In the SF Bay Area.

This is still America folks, you don't lose your job for saying most things; and while we might think the court of public opinion is condemning people left and right, it's usually only if you're famous and/or have a significant online following or something.

My best friend is a hillbilly dirt-farming pope-loving Trump voter and I am a filthy pagan hippie-spawn leftie. Stop thinking that what you see on TV is the norm and realize that on a person-to-person basis none of this shit matters.

I think he meant illegal as in the media reporting fake news. Like when CNN and the WP just settled cases by the Covington kid who won both settlements due to fake news.

I'm really glad that kid won those lawsuits (or rather the settlement). He got a bad deal in that whole situation, can't imagine the stress and threats he got.

CNN is garbage, took me a long time to realize that.

Maybe because it is the first time in history a President is for the people and not themselves or the Washington establishment. When was the last time a president stood up for the United States?

I don't know, when was the last time a president was partially responsible for millions of infected Americans who won't make a full recovery, 150k American deaths, and double-digit unemployment?

I know Trump didn't bring COVID to this country, but he utterly fucked up how the US handled it.

Trump doesn't love you, and he certainly does not love America or Americans. To Trump, we all exist to serve him.

He listened to the experts and the Democrats were too busy impeaching the President to be of any help, in fact every thing he did they were against until they were for it, like restricting travel from certain states. Look at the issue of masks, the experts said don't wear a mask it doesn't help now it is mandatory. Social distancing unless you are a protester or rioter then you get a pass from the media and Democrats.

What experts? The alien and devil one? The one that wrote Trump's perfect bill of health?

Impeachment was 2019. COVID didn't become a serious issue until like, what? March 2020? February?

@mrbojangles25: Impeachment was Jan 21st to Feb 5th 2020 in the senate. The virus was serious when it was first found in China in december. Trump shut down travel from china on jan 31st right in the middle of the impeachment. And they criticized him for doing it as racist and xenophobic. They claimed there was no threat from the virus. Fact is the Virus was serious in december and the only reason it took till jan. to shut down was because China AND their partners the american democrat party downplayed it.

trump did NOT shut down travel from China. He stopped some travel from China but it was not shut down.

He allowed US citizens and their families to come back but they were also quarantined for 14 days. All travel for foreign nationals was shut down though. It is sad I have to explain this it is pretty obvious there is never a total shut down.

Foreign nationals ONLY if they had traveled to China in the last 14 days with exceptions for immediate family of US citizens and permanent residents. And most major airlines had already stopped flights before he announced the restrictions recommended to him by health experts.

He's not saying it is illegal not to like him.

He's saying it is illegal to censor opinions (especially under the guise of having journalistic integrity). Is it? I don't know - certainly unethical though.

Context Clues.
