Media negative of migration can be shutdown. Global compact on migration is the legalisation of mass migration.

It's a great headline, and the guy has issues...but the proposal is dead in the water.

Austria, Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Poland, Slovakia and Switzerland have already stated they will not sign the agreement.

@sealionact: The thread title is misleading, there's no EU wide consensus on this.

@mandzilla: Of course it's misleading. No point in letting the facts get in the way of a story when sensationalism is needed.

And exactly what will happen if people in those countries become migrants to other countries in case of a disaster?

@watercrack445: Don't get your point. This is more about freedom of speech, and freedom of the press than migration itself. Those countries are voting against the proposal....or do you feel that we shouldn't be able to criticise?

More fear mongering from the right-wing pansies. They must be shaking in their wee little boots. Caravans of rapists coming to the border, EU stapling speech offenders' mouths shuts...

Those totalitarian liberals are going to get yo--

I can't even finish that sentence, the thought of "liberals" being "totalitarian" is just too amusing.

If you want to see totalitarian, look at Trump :D

It's not a vote. Though I guess the title is misleading because it's not the whole EU and not just the EU with Canada also saying that they will sign the treaty. I'll edit the title to make it more accurate.

Ruling class never has to deal with the repercussions of migration.

The day tensions build so high among the plebeians will be the day the ruling class receives the rope.

@Damedius: So do you have an actual credible source to this story other than some random youtube crap?

You know like BBC, NPR, PBS ect.

Otherwise, this thread seems pretty irrelevant

Lol. Damn you caught me. I staged the press conference myself.

Ah yes and you couldn't understand it. You'll get there someday. Use better sources or don't make threads.

It's still not an accurate depiction. The video is from October, and shows a conference from the EU parliament. They were debating the UN Global compact of migration, and if supported, it would be entered into EU law. Austria, Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Poland, Slovakia and Switzerland have already stated they will not sign the agreement at the UN level, with some countries refusing to even attend. Saying that the EU "will" criminalise speech that criticises migration is pure speculation, and by all accounts highly unlikely.

Not Peterson.

He has worked for the UN and was an advisor to Jim Balsillie when he worked on a UN Panel.
