Stay classy Mika.
Is this typical of American journalism? Do American reporters report facts any more or just grand stand and give their opinions?
Hilarious show. I watch morning joe quite a bit. Not sure if they are serious journalists or not but i love their antics.
Joe basically helped Trump get elected, now the guy pretends he was against him.
Funny show, if anyone wants to see grown adults spaz out constantly its worth a watch.
its a horrid stupid show.
and I am a liberal, what a wank fest that show is.
This is a really good summary of what the show is like, only in the real show Joe interrupts more
Joe basically helped Trump get elected, now the guy pretends he was against him.
That can be applied to many anchors.

Yep, can't stand his Hypocritical grandstanding ass.
@tryit: That parody is quite accurate. Except real Joe interrupts even more than that. Not sure where they get the weird sexual tension though, half the time neither Joe or Mika are even in the same building.
I dont know who interrupts more Joe or Chris Matthews
The evening programs are a ton better
@tryit: LOL... actually ur right, I think Chris Matthews interrupts more. He seems to spittle a lot when he talks. You gotta be a good 5 feet away or u gonna get some spit in your face.
His laugh is funny as well, he sounds crazy.
yes!
I am surprised SNL hasnt impersonated him more
With the level of discourse the president has set I can't say I'm surprised by this.
Pretty much.............
Recently heard Anderson Cooper with "Hard to talk while you're teabagging"
Paragons of journalism. What other high school level insults are they gonna drop?
So what's the problem?
I guess it depends on what he means by butt-boy. Is that some homophobic slur or does he mean something else by it?
The thing you need to understand about every 24 hour news network is that, much like any other television network, 95% of the content is irrelevant and dumb.
@judaspete
Untrue.
This applies to American media as a whole. There are people who are paid cushy salaries with media companies to just spout their opinion in articles and you end up with total garbage like this
https://theconcourse.deadspin.com/conservative-gays-need-to-shut-the-****-up-1831029271
It's no wonder media companies all over the country are going through massive layoffs. Which is exactly why journalism is being replaced by robots
https://digiday.com/media/washington-posts-robot-reporter-published-500-articles-last-year/
Turns out the information elites are also facing the same fate as those working class plebs
@vl4d_l3nin: They are going through tough times because they are competing with the internet. Same reason TV is struggling even though it is better than it has ever been.
Stay classy Mika.

Much of what you see on cable is opinionated rather than a text book example of journalism because the presentation of an unbiased, objective report on any news story (important matters) could not fill an hour let alone a few hours of something interesting to viewers. People do not want to think critically.
Is this typical of American journalism?
No, it's MSNBC. It's the liberal version of Fox News, and it shouldn't be taken as an example of good journalism.
Good journalism is really important, particularly investigative journalism, and we should work to protect it and promote it. But this isn't it.
