We’re never going to hear the end of it from Trump if he’s vindicated. Ever. Anything he’s ever questioned on he can simply cite the investigation. What’s worrisome is that his “FAKE NEWS!” claims will hold far more weight and he’ll be able to weave and sell his own delusional narrative much easier and with much more credibility if no proof of his guilt is established.

He is a known and proven liar. To have his credibility acknowledged and vindicated by the height of our best institutions is far more damaging than I think collusion with Russia could ever be.

Reports say:

What we know about Mueller:

- His investigation is over

- DOJ didn't overrule him, ever

What we know about the report:

- Explains decisions to prosecute or not

- Contains "principal conclusions"

- Contains "other information"

See, I told you nothing will happen. Trump is and had been investigated for many things but nothing serious happened yet.

If the recommendation is no further indictments then a lot of what is left for Trump's team is to spin whatever else till eternity and back.

Should be interesting.

No more indictments, so I would gather that no 'Bombshell' is coming. It's probably the most boring scenario we'll get. There'll be no hard proof on collusion and obstruction can't be proven, given the president's authority on matters. But that doesn't mean the report won't be scathing in certain aspects concerning the presidents behavior and that of this confidants. Similar to Hillary and her use of a private email server.

In reality, what if it does say he obstructed justice? His supporters simply don't care and the GOP would be too spineless to ever pursue impeachment. This, along with not being able to indite a sitting president, means the only way to oust Trump is to beat him in 2020.

You want to get rid of Trump? Mobilize a base to vote against him. Nominate a person who can articulate policy positions and not run a platform of, 'I'm not Trump'. Get people ready to canvass and empowered at a grass roots level. Basically, learn from Hillary's missteps.

Some of the more direct and problematic (for Trump) investigations which arouse from this are still on going, see SDNY.

If the report vindicates him, it shouldn’t surprise you if he brags that it does since for the past two years people from all over the country were bragging that Mueller would be their savior that would undo the 2016 election (even though removing Trump would just mean Pence would move up, not Hillary Clinton). I’m sure most politicians not named Donald Trump or with an (R) behind their name would do the same thing if they were investigated for over two years for being a foreign agent.

Don’t act so dissapointed. Politically speaking, he could still lose in 2020 and a loss at the polls isn’t nearly as damaging to the country as a sitting president being impeached (regardless of removal or not) would be. Not to mention people like Rep. Schiff said they aren’t going to give up just because Mueller is done.

No, I don't think most politicians would do the same thing, at least not in manner. They would probably make a cordial statement about being glad the investigation was seen through to its end and discovered the truth, but at least we wouldn't be hearing "Sad! Those EVIL Democrats with their FAKE NEWS constantly being proven wrong. I won the biggest electoral history in history, won the presidency on my first attempt without even trying, and now the investigation is a complete and total win for me, as I've been saying all along! Thanks losers! #MAGA!!!" You know as well as I do we'll be getting childish attacks, further divisive rhetoric, and immature insults and proclamations of vindication in the worst possible way, and this will last for 6 more years. Trump will use the results of this investigation not to unite us, but to drive a stake further to create a partisan divide. He enjoys nothing more than to try to tear people apart and have them at each other's throats.

As a grown up, I generally don't enjoy enduring the antics of a tantruming child, and I don't care if they've been proven right. With Trump, I have no choice but to tolerate them. You can't put him in a corner for a time out. You can't smack him to shut up. You can't laugh him away. I can't get away from it, and it's going to be like having a spoiled 12 year old constantly in my face for the next six years, and now, all the worse, it's an ego that's going to be furthered by "nyah, nyah nyah nyah nyah!!!" with everything that comes up against him in the future backed by this.

He's vindicated, then he's vindicated. It's simply that fact combined with his degree of ego-centrism, narcissism, and constant need to be worshiped that will be intolerable to endure. As an aside, he's going to sweep 2020 if absolved, rest assured.

@MirkoS77: I am willing to say that his reactions may not be what is expected of a president. But when it comes down to it, he had countless media personalities calling him a traitor working for Putin and even had a few people say that they hope his kids were assaulted and/or killed (to include one celebrity that said they hoped that his then 12 year old son was raped by pedophiles). If he gloats, that is his perogrative.

In my opinion, no matter how much you hate him, the fact that people are actually upset that the sitting president is not a Russian puppet is outrageous. Especially with Rachel Maddow holding back tears last night:

Almost any damage one president does during their term can be undone when they are voted out of office as long as he is operating under his Constitutional authority. The same thing can’t be said if a traitor is feeding secrets to a foreign nation, and removing him from office for being a traitor isn’t going to make a Democrat president unless they can get Pence out of there at the same time.

Not really. It gives Trump a chance to run in 2020 which I think many on the left didn't want. To be honest, I want the Republicans to come with a credible and serious candidate that can take a SNL joke without going on a Twitter rant.

I wish Trump had someone in his staff who would tell him that SNL is a comedy show and his response to them making fun should be to laugh and ask them for an invite next time they wanted to do a skit about him. And then call them out if they said no.

That's a disingenuous mischaracterization. I don't believe anyone's genuinely sad and/or disappointed that our president isn't a foreign agent, this is the Right's TDS detector malfunctioning, only that these people genuinely believe him to be and their response reflects a feeling of injustice at such absolution. I mean, let's not pretend there's not things that Trump has done and meetings that occurred that lent gravitas to the narrative that they may have a very difficult time letting go of.

I still think there's a connection between Trump and Russia, but believe it to be more along the lines of financial information or business dealings they hold that Trump desperately doesn't want exposed and that Russia may be leveraging over him. That's about as far as I'm willing to grant they may be controlling Trump as a puppet or influencing his decisions. It's not an unrealistic possibility at all.

Most definitely Trump is a narcissist and you are probably right that no one dares to tell him to be quiet and keep calm.

A shame because if he was just 75% less loud, he may have coasted through re-election, considering the circus the Democrats have presented so far.

@MirkoS77: There are plenty of people sad that the report is saying that they couldn’t prove that he is a Russian agent. They are sad not because they want the country to be compromised, but because by not proving that he is a Russian agent they can’t use that fact to have him immediately removed from office. There are already people both in and out of Congress implying that the Mueller Report conclusion can’t be trusted either because Mueller is a Republican (even though the vast majority of his staff were registered Democrats that would have had motive to get Trump impeached if they could find anything) or because Mueller himself was compromised by Putin. Most of those people are now screaming for the SDNY as their final hope to remove Trump before January 2021 (or 2025 if he is reelected).

The Special council made more money for the feds than it cost, thanks to it's forfeitures. Good chance they'll make even more from Stone's trial. A bunch of you fellows keep trying to push the money angle to say this was a waste, but it was the opposite actually. If literally nothing else came of the investigation (interference was confirmed), at the very least we have weeded out a few financial crooks and landed comfortably in the green.

Are you f’n kidding me @HillaryClinton ?!!! You left Ambassador Stevens and us to die in Benghazi then spewed lie after lie to the family members of my dead teammates and to the world to cover it up and now you have the nerve to talk about defending diplomats?!You are disgusting!

News article that covered Kris Paronto's spill https://www.bizpacreview.com/2018/07/20/are-you-fn-kidding-me-benghazi-survivor-kris-paranto-drops-moab-on-hillary-and-its-not-pretty-656200

The conspiracy theory that there was criminal wrong doing.

There wasn't any. No charges no indictments for Hillary. Those were bigger and longer investigations in total.

honestly what was the russian interference? their biggest thing was hacking the DNC and revealing emails that showed that the DNC was actively promoting Clinton over Sanders. In other words, the DNC was subverting the democratic process of the primary. Rather than let the people choose which candidate to represent them, they tried to influence the outcome to one they favored. Not surprisingly, that disenfranchised a lot of Sanders supporters and may have cost Hillary the election. But who's fault is that? The russians for showing the dirty underwear, or the DNC for behaving that way? Seems democrats want to blame everybody but themselves. Hillary likely would have won the election anyways, but why leave anything to chance. F democracy and transparency.

Troll farms that reached over 100 million Americans with misinformation. Was one thing at least.

It's a giant political conspiracy. They're all just puppets putting on a show for us. They spent most their time doing nothing, so need years of stupid flim flam cause they can't get anything done.

It's odd I wrote conspiracy and now ads asking if I want a book about conspiracies, its a giant conspiracy.

Your opinion is noted but the entire Intelligence Community disagrees with you. What they did was problematic because it was blatantly one sided (as well as illegal).

Why was there no leaking of all the crazy shit the GOP has ever done? Why were most of the troll farms targeting Hillary instead of Trump?

The same intelligence community that told us of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Assad gassing his people?

Hopefully it has all the dirt the left wanted, I doubt any of it is criminal but hopefully its the kind of dirt that ruins 2020.
