Maybe not completely fake but absolutely loaded with shit in any case. If almost ANYBODY else wrote that thing other than an imbecile like Nunes this would be a different conversation. As it stands now Nunes wrote this trash without actually reading or examining any of the evidence that the memo is based on.

We just have to wait and see what is in it. Nobody on this board has seen it yet, and it is highly unlikely that anyone working at CNN has seen it either.

If the memo is true, and it's release doesn't endanger national security, then the only reason why I could see Democrats and most of the MSM trying to either stop its release or discredit it is because it has the potential of helping the president politically.

If it is a nothing burger, then there should be no reason why they are fighting so hard to keep it classified, unless it carelessly reveals collection methods that endanger current or future operations, and there is no way to redact it enough to prevent that without defeating the purpose of releasing it at all.

Why are the FBI, DOJ, and intelligence folks fighting the release of the memo. I think it is going to show some top officials in those agencies broke the law. Everyone should want to see what happened and prevent it from happening again. The next time you could be on the receiving end of the abuse of power.

We aren’t in a position to determine whether or not it is faked, since neither one of us are read on to the programs holding the information that determined what went into the memo. If there is fake information in there, then I am totally against it being there.

With the way things have been for Trump over the past year, it probably wouldn’t take too long for proof of the memo being faked to be leaked to the media, with all of the other things that have been leaked already to include things like his private conversations with other world leaders.

As for edits, if certain parts are redacted due to national security reasons, then there isn’t much we can do about that. If it is edited to embarrass/protect someone, then I am against that as well.

I just want to see it released for the firestorm it creates. It either quickly shows the GOP as liars (either by hyping up a big nothing, or straight out lying in the memo) in which case it will just damage their chances that much more, or it will show something bad for the DEM in which case it will be amusing to see them desperately damage controlling. Either way it should be exciting.

There have been a lot of things showing the GOP to be liars, i.e. lying about things written in plain text in their healthcare or tax bills. It never slows them down because their base doesn't care when they are obviously lied to. The GOP has literally nothing to lose by releasing this even if every single word is false.

If you truly believe the GOP are politically invincible, then why even care? They could just make shit up without the memo released at all to the same effect. No, I know you know this is untrue, that the GOP can be hurt by their own stupidity. Hell, all the losses they have suffered is a pretty good show that their BS does NOT go unnoticed.

It's been reported the memo misrepresents. But hey keep believing it's true. Haven't met a trump fan yet that didn't give him the benefit of the doubt even when faced with reality.

The general population is only going to know what their confirmation bias (and their favorite news networks) tells them, which is why CNN/MSNBC/ABC/etc. viewers are already dismissing it as fake and that it was only made to distract from the Russia investigation, while Fox News viewers are saying it’s going to be the end of the Mueller investigation and that it’s going to make Watergate look like shoplifting.

Fake, the FBI did not call it fake. The FBI asked for some changes and they were made for them, and then they complained it was changed. You would rather let individuals in the government use their office to abuse your rights and get away scott free to do it again to put a stop to their abuse. The FBI and the DOJ let Hillary and her minions get away because she was Hillary do you think you would have received the same treatment if it had been you? As a regular Fox News and Hannity viewer I can tell you Hannity's most common source is Julian Assange. And where is Julian Assange right now?

Adam Schiff leaked everything he could that would hurt or embarrass Trump or the Republicans but he did not leak this memo as it only hurt the Democrats. He leaked closed-door testimony of Don Trump Jr. In fact, the Democrats and their shills leaked everything. The Republicans went through a process outlined by rules to get this document to the public square. It shows which party has some integrity.

3. This memo was not cold hard data, or an intelligence report. It was 4 pages of cherry picked and factually inaccurate data from a 50+ page FISA Warrant. It noted no broken FISA laws.

But yes, the entire point of this thing was to fool the public. No actual FISA laws were shown to be broken. It also confirmed the investigation began before the Carter Page warrant.
