@Jacanuk: @joshrmeyer: @JimB: @n64dd:

Jim Kong Un called. He's asking for his brainwashed minions...

The president called the opposing party "treasonous" and now, most of you are saying that it's not a big deal or that the opposing party should "take the high road." Think about that for a minute. What kind of leader calls the opposing party "treasonous" and "unamerican?" What's the gain in all this?

No, seriously, what's the gain for an elected leader to call the opposing party "UnAmerican" and "treasonous."

I'll await your answer.

yes..

Its a MUCH BIGGGER deal when a sitting president calls anyone treasonous. A canidate running for president that is not as big of a deal, a member of congress even not as big of a deal.

what is also a big deal is that people do not understand WHY its a much bigger deal for a sitting president to say it. Its like they (people saying its not a big deal ) do not even understand what the job is.

Now you are talking about your own assumptions, look at the quotes. I specifically said, "The other guy is a bully" meaning Trump. And opposite you, i don´t hate trump so when he is in the clear I can admit that like when he is in the wrong.

Nope, just telling you what I see.

Have you ever seen President Obama lash out like this to his critics? Have you ever seen him verbally abuse and berate people? Dislike Obama for his policies all you like but he respected the office, unlike the current occupant of the White House.

He just spied on them and brought the power of the Federal government against them.

What better way to try and get people to forget about your treasonous activity than to project it onto the opposing group.

That is how we know what the Dems are doing all of the time. Take the Russian collusion for example.

There's a reason that the crime of treason is specifically outlined in the constitution

Why anyone would ever compare a car sales person to a politician is beyond me. Nothing they do ever touches the the lifestyle dishonesty of politicians.

replace "tremendous" with "average"

replace "biggest in history" with "in line with others in history"

replace "no collusion" with "collusion"

replace "hillary" with "i have issues"

He has a point. I mean the US was founded on libertarian principles of self government. Progressive ideology is treasonous and unamerican to its core; However, the president shouldn't be saying that.

Also whats wrong with that statement? Most leftists (true ones anyways) will be the first to admit that. And even then why would you want to be affiliated with historical American ideology if you're an advocate of the redistribution of wealth?

Because treason is generally considered to be a capital crime committed against the nation, although it is specifically outlined in the US constitution as levying war against the state. I don't think not clapping during a speech meets such standards

What´s the gain in a president using strong words to please his base?

Also, let me ask you a question, why do words hurt you? show me on the alphabet doll where the bad letters touched you.

But wanting people, who claim to be the highest moral authority in the country, like you also claim, take the high road should not come as a surprise. If you want to claim moral authority, you can´t roll with the pigs.

Not really. Again what you and the left think about him as a person is not relevant to the state of this country.

Facts are that he is rolling back a lot of Obama´s mess, made tax cuts that benefit a lot of Americans and also hopefully soon will get rid of Obamacare.

He called the other party treasonous and UnAmerican. Those aren't just strong words, those words incite fanatics to enact violence against the "unamerican" and "treasonous" Democrats. This isn't about political correctness, it's about claiming that patriotism is exclusive to the GOP and that the other side is akin to traitors, something that authoritarians have used to establish a single party within their country.

Both parties have their issues but both do not have exclusive rights to patriotism and what it means to be an "American." So far, however, I haven't heard a Democratic president call the GOP and its members "unamerican" or "treasonous."

Why narrow the judgement to just presidents? Both parties have been calling each other Unamerican for decades, if you think that incites fanatics you should be more Anti-politician then I am.

Also: Clinton did it constantly while he was being investigated. Obama was measured as all heck so he may not have (yet likely did a time or to) but Clinton hated the GOP. There is nothing that enrages him quite like efforts to hold him accountable for his crimes. Kinda like trump.

So is Trump a fascist now?

Trump knew what he was doing, or at least his administration knew.

They strategically tried to make the democrats look bad. They fell for the bait. Not sure if it convinced the public though.

He definitely wants to be one, for sure.

Buh... buh... GODWIN'S LAW!!!1

Nah, you just heard an "almost president" call half of America deplorable, not to mention Obama has not laid on his back sipping margaritas with the missus on the beach during his last months.

Or do you put a line when it comes to normal Americans and the publically elected?

What? Clinton isn't the president you dolt. And what does Obama have to do with anything here? He's no longer the president, he can relax or do whatever he wants.

Again with the reverse. If you're seriously defending Trump on this, there's nothing that can be said about you other than that you're easily fooled by a narcissistic president.

If I worried about everything that someone says or I hear them say, I'd be grey haired and on prozac by now. People say stuff, get over it.

Whatever you want to call them, "disrespectful" seems appropriate enough.

Respect is a two-way street. Why should President Trump be respected when he constantly shows a lack of respect for the Democrats, the media, foreign heads of states, and American citizens?

The lack of respect started before he even became president because he was not the chosen one to be president. The Dems were calling for impeachment the day after election day. Trump is pretty much right about the Dems. They even through the DACA folks under the bus with a large section of the American citizens. The Dems complaining because he shows lack of respect for them is like the pot calling the kettle black.

It's all about playing ball in the good 'ol boys club. Clinton fondled the right nuts, willing to play ball, follow traditional rules and wink wink, nod to backdoor shenanigans and had the expectation that she would win to the point where deals were already in the works with foreign agencies to first year policies and shenanigans and when she shockingly lost, it caused a huge upset behind the doors not to mention what was publicly upset so naturally dems and anyone associated to those ideals in general are going to go against the grain regardless of what Trump has ever said or done.

I was talking about the shit Obama said when he was President during the last term "bellend" and it does not matter if Hilliary didn´t become the president, it still shows the character.

And I'm not defending anyone, I'm just not as bias as you towards one side.

I'm pretty honest and upfront about what I think/believe. Don't need to hide what I actually believe like others here.
