I wonder if Trump will accuse these people of being "paid protesters" too.
When you think about it though, it is a strange world we're living in when people have to rally in support of facts.

Trump has presented deep cuts to nearly every scientific agency in the US, was he expecting people to sit back and watch his administration take us back 20 years? Hell he hired Pruitt, a freaking climate change denier (conspiracy theorist), to head the EPA.

Scientists paid? LOL! I know we all like to think there's a lot of big money in science--and there is, to some extent--but the context is often missed. Most people that work in research and do the kind of science Trump is going against don't get paid squat.

Yeah you'd think facts, especially scientific ones, would speak for themselves, but no for some reason people STILL want to deny that humans have an impact on the environment, and NO the earth is not round.
Very nice to see but it sure is a shame that something like that is even necessary in this day and age.
Holy shit conservatives are stupid,
Bill Nye is a fake just like global warming science is fake. Liberals hold him up like he is some kind of genius, but the fact is, he is nothing more than an actor that used to play a scientist. He has no scientific credentials excepy honorary ones from his acting job. He is not a certified engineer, he doesn't even have a Master's degree. He is a fake.

Lol, wow.
That's the problem nowadays... people don't want to know the truth, even if it's shoved right in their face. Facts mean nothing anymore. People believe what they want to believe... which is dangerous.
Anyway, glad to see this march happen (Also happened over here in Aus too I think). If people start dismissing science and the scientific process (especially governments), it will be the downfall of our civilisation.
Trump's statement is rich.
"My administration is committed to advancing scientific research that leads to a better understanding of our environment and of environmental risks," Trump said. "As we do so, we should remember that rigorous science depends not on ideology, but on a spirit of honest inquiry and robust debate."
This is just insulting.

LOL i think like 90% of the world he does not care about that.
First time i heard it was on here, otherwise not one single media outlet has mentioned it
This article is relevant. It explains why so many people are so quick to call anthropogenic climate change false and creationism true.

When science needs a rally it turns political. Anything political has an agenda.
I agree, it's a shame the GOP has turned science political by ignoring observable facts and peer reviewed literature.

America is such a strange place. Instead of conforming their ideology to science, Americans try to conform science to their ideology.

Yea it makes no sense. Although even dems aren't immune to this way of thinking. Take for example their fight against GMO's even though the science shows they are completely safe. Political ideology runs deep in American society.
