The spin coming from the White House could probably generate enough power to run New York for a week. Still, a smart move for the Trump administration. I'll give them that.

Wait, an alcoholic, wife-beating, anti-Semite who ran an alt-right news organization suddenly isn't fit to be part of the National Security Counsel anymore?

Who would've thunk?

He was never going to be permanent.

He was brought in for a reorg and then he was leaving.

I don't understand how this is news other than a great man is moving to another job.

I'd be more inclined to believe that if they had said it from the beginning.

And if Trump hadn't later stated he would consider removing Bannon if it were recommended by his National Security Adviser:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/02/22/trump-would-be-willing-to-remove-bannon-from-national-security-council.html

And if there were less unfilled positions at the NSC.

And if their website didn't still look so... incomplete:

@judaspete:

I'll be happy once he's far, far away from politics.

Well, i guess Trump can go back to getting his news from Breitbart, and start shitting on Fox again. So, now instead of Judge Jeanine having the President's ear, it'll be Milo's ghost......

From the New York Times (I would highly recommend giving that article a read) via GQ :

For the moment, Mr. Bannon remains the president’s dominant adviser, despite Mr. Trump’s anger that he was not fully briefed on details of the executive order he signed giving his chief strategist a seat on the National Security Council, a greater source of frustration to the president than the fallout from the travel ban.

Trump didn't read the executive orders he was signing, at least at first.

Reminds me of The Simpson's Movie:

@R3FURBISHED: I've read that from a few other sources, but dismissed it as quackery (no one who presumably had to deal with contracts on a regular basis would be stupid enough to not read the orders he was signing as president, right?)

Seriously, WTH?

This hero is needed elsewhere. Now that Trump is completely turning this country around, Bannon can help other countries! Hopefully he solves Africa.

Seriously, WTH?

Honest question: How often does a CEO negotiate or barter specifics?

Regardless, being President of the United States is far and away more intensive and difficult than being a CEO of....well, anything. I did hear on NPR, just today, the Trump administration is becoming more and more of a traditional White House ie something that is functional and something that works.

I can only speak for our executive branch - they're directly involved in mergers and divestitures as well as setting major company policy.

Basically, when they directly give their stamp of approval, they're directly involved. I have to imagine it's pretty similar for most other major companies as if their's an accounting scandal, per se, the CFO can be held accountable if he signed off on it.

In short, Trump signed something without knowing what he was signing.

He was never going to be there in the first place, he weaseled his way in by letting an unqualified man unknowingly sign him into the position.

But you go ahead and spin, you...spinny spinner, you. You...professor of spin? No, that's not right...you...doctor of spin? Yes! SPIN DOCTOR!
