I'm sure it was a misunderstanding. There's no way Trump is racist, enables racists, or is supported by racists. He's done more for 'the blacks' than any president ever, maybe even Lincoln!

Whether he realized the contents of that tweet or not - it reveals the true incompetence of this president and how absurd it is we have such an impulsive, reactionary clown that speaks and takes action before he can construct basic research.

It's because a lot of his supporters are racist and don't care. What's happening is that the portion of his supporters that aren't racists are finally starting to realize what an incompetent leader he actually is, and this is scaring the crap out of the GOP.

Are the gloves off? Silicon Valley is less careful these days about appearing impartial to the election. As much as I detest Veritas's format (it's megacheesy), the evidence is piling on. If you want a free USA, it's starting to look like SV will have to be flatlined one way or another.

Pretty much. Whether he's doing this consciously, or it's incompetence, it's disgraceful either way. It's hard to imagine how he didn't hear the man repeatedly scream "white power" in a 12 second video unless he's going deaf. The whole "he didn't know" excuse is getting pretty damn old now.

Honestly, he's pretty much K.O at this point. Things aren't going to improve in November. In fact, considering the large numbers of companies going bankrupt I'm expecting the economy to be in total freefall. COVID is only going to get worse as well.

I think republicans who still believe we're living in 2016, will be in utter shock come the elections. They won't understand why Trump lost, similar to democrats in 2016. You would have expected they'd understand after the 2018 midterms.

Well that can happen. To be honest I'm kind of afraid to do it. Not necessarily because of moderation but because all this stuff is on the edge of escalating into an actual civil war. The USA is freakishly close to collapsing into something where people don't dare to say anything.

As a free minded person I am also in two different states of mind right now, that make it tough to do anything, but it's like a spring under tension. If SV is making a power move here, which it seems like they may be, I'm left wondering if Americans have to take military action now before the doors close. Or if there is still a civil way to go about all this even if they do. I would like Trump to make moves on 230 or anything that is defending SV's control over the nation right now. It could de-escalate things at least for a while. But I don't think he'll do it prior to election... which is 5 months away.

So that's going to be a sweaty 5 months. 5 months of free reign or terror where they can steer a lot of hurt and lock a lot of doors and obfuscate a lot of reality. Doing things that would have otherwise put them in legal danger. They are still worried about a reaction or they would have just done it instead of tightening the screws over time like this. And what if Biden wins, and he doesn't stand up to it? I'll say this: I'm extremely happy that I don't live in the USA right now. (I was going to.)

I just hope the GOP picks up someone competent enough next election. Democrats need competition or the country could be thrown off balance.

To be honest, democracy has always been fragile. It seems obvious that at some point it will collapse. We could see this now as the USA has become extremely polarized. It seems like we're witnessing perhaps for the first time since the first civil war two different ideologies clashing with no end in sight. Now, add to it Trump who's almost godlike for his base and if he loses and says he isn't conceeding i can easily see it happen.

It's hard to see Bunker boy crawl out of this one.
