So I'm technically an iOS user but I recently got an Android phone as a gift. I use it mostly for emulators so I can play old Nintendo games that I miss or the new ones for DS.

Maybe there are also mobile games out there that strays from the mainstream ones. I'm looking for those types that has a unique gameplay and which I can just casually play.

Hope I posted on the correct part of the Forums though :)

Hey there, so since you mentioned away from mainstream I have some suggestions for you to try. The Dark Book, Knights of Pen & Paper, and Knight Fever. All of them are like pixels, and out of the three I highly recommend the KF (Knight Fever), since the gameplay itself is unique. There are 4-lanes which the Heroes can occupy, and switch places to avoid enemies' attacks. There's arena on it, there's a place for hunting bosses, and also a place where you can gather lots of gold to purchase items in-game. It's free-to-play, and there are plenty of ways you can earn cubes by just fulfilling the quests. So, basically cubes can buy you things like some legendary gems to increase your heroes' stats.

I just wanna say that I've tried Knight Fever, and I'm so satisfied so far. The thrill is real. It has a very unique gameplay from other games I've ever played. I think, I will be sticking with this game for some time.

I'd say: Knight Fever is a mix of Final Fantasy, Jetpack Joyride, Temple Run, and Candy Crush. The best of their genres.

I'll be playing this game for a long time dude, better add me. IGN: MooseCatEar

Glad to hear that. Hopefully, we will be seeing each other in the Arena. There are a lot of things that you can do in this game, considering it's free to play. It's not even necessary for you to pay anything, you can definitely upgrade the equipment to become stronger. You'll just need to know the materials to buy in-game. Gold can be accumulated each day. Anyway, you'll learn more about it in the process. I've already added you up. Just use my main Hero, to level up your Party.

So the best way to gather gold is to enter the Gold Dungeon, which I can only enter twice since I only have 10 Heroes as of the moment.

What's your best combo for the normal stages? Mine is Runa, Balbar, and Hendrick.

Saw the Facebook page and I'd have to say that the short film looks great. Who was that chick at 0:33?

@scotti:

Its good old simple fun. They throw in a little rocky balboa and batman humor in it (which i love).

@vaidream45:

Checked the game out and, although it looks great, I'd have to say it's not for me. Punch club is more or less like a sim game and I'm looking for a more interactive game. Thank you for the suggestion though :)

I guess I'll be focusing on Knight Fever for now since I'm a sucker for medieval themed games. And the gameplay is unique too for its genre. But if there are other suggestions, please don't hesitate. I don't want to get stuck with ROMs for the rest of my Android life :D

Yeah. Me too. KF seems to occupy the rest of my free time in a day. It has lots of options for me to choose. Not just the Normal stages. You have Arena that is very competitive. I just like how the gameplay was made in KF. :)

Yeah. This is the only game I've played that I become so happy whenever I see a potion. Hahahaha

LOL. Of course, those healing pots mean life. Since monsters will really hit some of your heroes, potions are very useful in stages. :)

I'm glad I played this game though. Not so much as a pay-to-win game. Although it is quite technical, which I like.

Right. It's pretty much your effort in playing the game matters. Especially in collecting material, and in being patient. Will help you a lot if you just store the cubes you accumulate for the meantime. XD

Bit of luck too. I've been spending all my Cubes for summoning in the Heroes' Altar. Best one that I got was a 3-star Karr.

@scotti Wow, that's actually pretty cool character, and star-level. Congratulations. He is very useful especially in the Arena, having his global effect skill helps a lot in fighting other players' Heroes.

Yes, enemies will be immobilized for a short duration. Try it out you'll like him. And his background story being so Karr. Hahaha. He was a demon King.

I'm focusing on increasing my Party Level for now by choosing stages that will help clear Quests faster. Although those stages don't give the materials that I currently need. Only half of my recruited heroes have full green items. Any tips?

Played during the weekends for the first time. I didn't know that all of the dungeons are open on weekends.

For increasing your Party level, mainly completing quests, especially the Achievements ones. They give a lot of Party level XP once completed. With the materials well you can buy them in the shop, you just need to have gold, which is being given of course in gold dungeon. I suggest that you save the materials first, and then you upgrade your items if you have like 500 for each material. Doing so will give you a bonus 50 cubes because of the special quest of upgrading materials (Equivalent Fusion). Also these cubes can be used to buy more gold.

Yeah, pretty much it will give you free essences during weekends. It really is helpful boosting your stats early in the game.

Absolutely. Been thinking for a while as well, and hopefully the devs will look into it. I was thinking if the images of Heroes will change as well when they are awakened. That will be awesome.

Yes it would!

Maybe they should change the last dungeon in Five Dungeons too. It became pretty useless after I got all my Heroes to 2-stars.

Yeah. I would rather have random drops than an evolution stone. It's not very useful in the long run. How your normal stages going?

I played Minecraft before. However, I don't have enough time in a day to consume for that game anymore. So I'm playing pretty casual games now like Knight Fever, Carrot Defense, & Survive-Wilderness Survival.

Try Parashoot Stan from amazon store. It was made by ex-Rare devs, in case you're familiar with them. The graphics look modern but there is also a retro-style version, and the gameplay in general feels retro in a challenging way, if that makes sense.
