Curious as to your thoughts on this series, came across it the other day in the Sega collection. From reading the wiki, there were a few of them.

I had no idea, I only knew (know, own) the Genesis game.

I think it's pretty damn great, actually. A hidden gem. The main problem (and this is a big one) is the platforming can be downright infuriating in isometric 3D

Glad they tucked this in the collection or otherwise probably would have never heard of it.

Thankfully with the rewind it alleviate alot of the issues we would otherwise have on the original console.

It is easely in my top 5 genesis games and I've went through the game at least 10 times. I played it a lot as a kid (and sometimes really bad xD Like not getting some shoes and instead going through areas I was supposed to have those shoes and dying several times on my way xD)

Pretty solid little action RPG. We missed out on Ladystalker but we got Dark Savior on the Saturn which was also pretty impressive for its day. There was supposed to be a 3D PSP port of Landstalker but it was cancelled. Like others have said, the platforming is what will drive you crazy as some traps will send you back several rooms and tricky jumps. I think some of the staff went on to work on Alundra.

Okay, that looks fun, thanks Cup for mentioning this game.

It was a favorite amongst a few of us. I recall the jumping areas not making any sense.

Just checked (half a year later), apparently Alundra with the spiritual successor to this, which itself is kind of a forgotten game.
