One of the best games ever turned 20 today

Play it on Wii U for like 10 bucks.

Technically it original came out on August 27 1994 in Japan and later came to us in North Americans in June 5 1995. But the Europeans I think never got the game.

Wii U virtual console release is the first time the game's been legally available in Europe.

Sorry what I meant is that the SNES version wasn't released in Europe.

You should just buckle down and get a copy. It's well worth it, the game doesn't age.

How is Earthbound? I have never played the game but keep hearing that it is very good and has a bit of a following. Did this game come to Europe? I seem to recall some earlier Square Enix games (or would it have just been Square then) not coming to the West or Europe.

SNES version wasn't released in europe. The game is known for it's charm and unusual take on an RPG. It's a classic that will never age and is well worth a play through.

I remember the price around 150$,but seems like they're actually around 250$ now :(

This game, along with chrono trigger, are the 2 god snes rpgs that I have never played. One day I will give it a go, but I think I should probably play chrono trigger before I play this.

This game has a persistent, positive presence in popular culture. I might play it, someday, to experience what makes it great.

@pook99: Chrono Trigger is absolute bliss. My favorite RPG of all time and I have yet to finish it still. Earthbound is pretty amazing as well. The writing is great too.

Chrono Trigger is a better RPG than Earthbound. Earthbound is just so radically different than every RPG and the charm is what makes it so loved.

I still have to play it. One of these days I will.

Everybody should play it. Just go into the game realized the combat is...weird?
