Hi i found my old Ps2 and I wanted to play some games on it and buy some new ones. Is there any official website that still sells Ps2 games like Rayman 3 or crash bandicoot? And I also never bought a memory card for my ps2 so how many memory cards do I need? What type should I buy? How do I use them? The reason I want to play ps2 is because they have so many good games and the games now are usually only $3. It's okay if they have been pre-owned but I don't want to use eBay

Try kijiji or Craigslist for PlayStation 2 games and memory cards. Or if you have a retro game shop in your city or town. You will be able to find lots of great PlayStation 2 games. PS2 memory cards are 8MB which holds at lot of games. Best to get 2 since some games can use up memory blocks very fast. You can get a lot of PS2 games in pawn shops and flea markets as well. Happy game hunting.

@datninjaduck: Hello,

You posted this thread to Games Discussion where current consoles are the main interest. We have a separate forum called Retro Gaming which your thread has been moved to in order to better answer your inquiry.

Thrift Stores and garage sales are a good source of PS2 games as well. I'd go for the retro game store though, better chance of finding what you're looking for.

Thrift stores, garage sales, e-bay and the occasional retro-video game specialized store is where you can find PS2 games.

With the memory card subject you can follow a couple of paths:

one is purchasing original 8 MB ones ( going to be hard to find NIBs ) or

purchase non official licensed ones ( generic ) which are quite easy to spot, if it has more than 8 MB of storage you can bet it´s not an original one,

both have their pros and cons, original ones have a lot less failure rate but have less capacity ( 8 MB ) and right now are actually more expensive than non originals even if they are used, non originals are cheaper and have much greater capacity but tend to fail more. A couple of either will be enough to store the saves from a big bunch of games.

Retro stores are nice, but always more expensive. Yard Sales and Thirft Stores are the best deals, but take more effort.
