I bought an RGB SCART cable for my old first gen Genesis to use through a framemeister, and I would confidently say, it's a near 100% increase in quality over S-Video. I was pretty stunned, couldn't understand the hype over RGB, now I get it.

Bought a SCART cable for my Sega Saturn as well, and my god, it makes a world of difference. Virtua Fighter 2 looks amazing especially!
@AlexKidd5000: Lucky people who grew up with scart TVs
Yeah, but SCART TV's and 50Hz consoles. The European and UK Amiga's and ST's were also PAL 50 over here. I'm not sure if I would have preferred the U.S 60Hz better, well at least until the PS2 and Xbox era ushered in a PAL60 mode.
We had the better picture quality while you guys had the speed 😁

Back in the 5th gen I was an N64 gamer. Was never really into Playstation One.
But now it's the Saturn I wished I had. It's weird nostalgia about something I never really played.
Only thing is, if I pick up a second hand UK console, it'll be 50Hz. A constant plain in my side for retro gaming.
My love for retro gaming continues to grow. US and Japanese gamers are lucky in this area, because, their consoles play games as they were intended.
I'll check out the import scene one day, might be costly though.
