It's actually rather amusing to read GS's review mainly because they spend the first paragraph whining about the fact that "Sonic shouldn't be riding a hoverboard because he can run blah blah blah...." Honestly that's like saying Mario Kart sucks because Mario isn't jumping.

Still Sonic Riders is ok but I'm dying to buy this one. I'll wait for a price drop.

They're just bias. I would laugh if GS gives Brawl an 8 but they were wanted to give a 9, because Sonic's in Brawl.

er... it'll be nice if the score was posted so that less rummaging can be done So... here. Gamespot called a 4.5 on SR:ZG. (SR got a 6.6) Aww... It's a racing game, Gamespot. Deal with it. http://www.gamespot.com/wii/driving/sonicriderszerogravity/review.html Nintendo Power gave it 7, though.

It's better than the first, but gamespot does have some decent points in there. Mostly about the story being an embarrassment to all things Sonic, fantasy, sci-fi, and racing. Still, half of a review devoted to the storyline aspect of the game? Yeah... way to be professional gamespot. "THE STORY SUCKS. SERIOUSLY, IT DOES. NO, REALLY. SEE HOW MUCH THE STORY SUCKS! IT IS PAINFUL! THE STORY!!! OMG TEH ST0RYZ0R5! ... obtwthere'sracingktxbye." Now, I can understand them giving the game a 4.5 on their scale. I mean, scoring is all subjective, depending on what that individual thought. Just to make this clear, I REFUSE to devolve in to accusations of bias on sites. Honestly, when I played through the game, I was thinking to myself "It's definitely a noticeable improvement on the first... at least... though not nearly enough. I couldn't imagine any review site scoring it higher than the first..." (Note: That applies to SonicSpot... sort of. I reviewed the first one much to high. Were the first one fixed, I would be scoring this one higher since two games in a series with no change or improvement should get the game score because for Sonic... they're the same game! However, professional review sites are helping you make a purchase, to they are COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED in scoring a game with no marked improvement lower because it's not worth a purchase if you have the first) Anyhow, my complaint here is that the review was written like the reviewer just wanted to get it over with. I mean, come on, Big Rigs: Off the road racing got a better written review than that. At least you could have displayed some sarcasm wit beyond pointing out logical fallacies and amused me. That's what logical fallacies are there for: to provide an easy input for hilarious sarcasm. So, do me a favor, and let's start not making Sonic fans in general look ignorant (I'm not calling any of you ignorant in any way) and don't complain about scores. It just makes non-fans think we're blind and delusional as a group. Actually, the Crimson Tower is green... but whatever.

Yeah I agree, half their review was spent complaining that A) Sonic runs fast so why would he bother with a hoverboard which is like saying Mario Kart sucks because Mario's not jumping. and B) Whining about the lame story. I never understood why racers that aren't Mario Kart feel the need to tell us a story as to why they're racing instead of just making a racing game with a career mode. The first Riders story wasn't that good.

Though some guys at the "All Things Sega Union" said the Wii controls weren't good and that it was better to use the old controller which sucks because I didn't buy a Wii to play all my games with a standard controller.

Still I've got a ton of games from Christmas to play so I'll wait before buying Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity.

Honestly, the Wii control isn't that bad. The Horizonal control works fine. Vertical is a stupid idea. And if you don't like tilting, you can still hold it horizontal and use the buttons on the D-pad.

yeah. I use tilt, but I use the d-pad except for gravity dives. I use the quick-up-motion for those.

Honestly, if I were to play this on Wii, I'd use the GC controller. I'm too much of a traditionalist.

I really don't care about how professional reviewers score or review Sonic games - I'll just try them for myself and reserve judgment until I feel like I've made an informed decision about the game.
