I just wonder how the gameplay of Sonic and the black knight will be
In shadow the hedgehog, having shadow use guns was awsome
In this game seeing sonic with a sword will be nice too
But that sword that sonic has looks 3 times his size I wonder if sonic will have a problem lifting that sword

Not much more RPG stuff than Secret Rings.
Don't forget Shadow's daggers, treebranches, and ninja swords! They already gave him a weapon no one else has. Guns! And that's what makes Shadow Shadow.

Keeping expectations low means they can only be exceeded!sonicphcAnd letting them hit rock bottom like you just showed is called being a pessimist. Cheer up a little.

Well after a rather dull E3 in general with of course nothing major out of Nintendo and the fact that I have no interest in any game that involves heavily armed space marines in a distopic future, I've had little optimism for anything. I was interested in the new Banjo game but they made him fugly and stuck him in a car, Animal Crossing will be as addictive as ever, even if the only new thing added is voice chat, so Sonic Unleashed is my most anticipated game of the fall and given that the series has broken my heart before, I have tried to remain cautiously optimistic and hopefulle the Wii version of Unleashed is good but if not, seeing as how this one is tailor made for the Wii, it will give me something else to play besides AC and de Blob (that game looks crazy).

Cheer up a little. He is going in with low expectations in case it is poor he won't be to dissapointed but if it ends up good then he will be hugely surprised. I am in the middle.

That reminded me of some 8-bit theatre logic. Hilarious but somehow true.
"Remind me again how a plan that makes no sense is supposed to work?"
"Simple; it makes too little sense to fail."

This is an important lesson in not letting your expectations get too high. Many games get hyped out the ass, only to let you down so I'll let my idol, Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation explain this to you. Mind you he talks kind of fast.

In short, don't get yourself too excited. If you're pessimistic and the game is good, than great! and if it's bad, then you have the satisfaction you're smarter than a fanboy. Besides didn't we learn our lesson from Sonic 06?

That was a big lesson I felt Sonic 06 had alot of expectations and dissapointed spectularly at the end so I am not getting carried away by any Sonic game.it is too early to be talking about thiskbplayer
says you...I'm a sonic nerd. I'll, I'll..."whatevah whatevah, I do what I want!" :P
it is too early to be talking about thiskbplayer
NP doesn't seem to think so.
Besides, who DOESN'T want to talk about (at least 3) Sonic characters with SWORDS?
It might as well be Lightsabers, and, let's face it, that just owns.
Game Informer magazine as usual had words of kindness for this title (sarcasm)
"Sonic has ridden the skies on a surfboard, been sucked into an Arabian Knights fairy tale, and even been used a pinball. So is it really all that unusual his next Wii game will have him traveling through time exploring an ancient medieval kingdom? Maybe, but that's still what he'll be doing next spring when this sequel to Sonic and the Secret Rings comes out. Armed with a sword, Sonic must travel across an Arthurian-inspired world on a quest to become the ultamite knight and save the day. A Sonic reniassance festival? Sounds as bad to us as Eddie Murphy's last 10 films."
Ouch.
Bear in mind that GI was the only review medium to give Secret Rings a lower score (5/10) than Sonic 06 (6.5/10).

Seriously?
Bunch of eejits.
Game Informer is Mario's b****, and they're kissing up to him all the time.
Of course, that means trampling Sonic whenever possible as well.
I could probably find less biased people in politics.

What Sonic 06 scored higher than Secret of the Rings. They were probably bashing Sonic when they said, "Hey, this is on the Wii. No serious gamer likes the Wii. We can kill two birds with one stone!".
Point is, they were probably bashing the Wii subliminally.

What Sonic 06 scored higher than Secret of the Rings.GI tends to be a lot harder on the Wii than a lot of reviewers. Even though this month's issue had this big editor's letter saying how they don't "hate" Nintendo, you can't help reading each magazine and notice how they tend to snub the Wii. I mean a Wii game hasn't be featured on their cover since "Red Steel" and most preview Wii articles are shoved into smaller boxes that only get a couple paragraphs. I wouldn't subscribe to it except that it's thrust in your face if you sign up for the Gamestop discount card.
Ok, we all know how awesome a Sonic/Star Wars crossover would be, right?
Of course we do.
Well, this is sort of like that, just...
Wrong time period.
I'm open to any ideas as long as they're fun (though I'm sure there are/will be exceptions).
