For example, like in every boss battle, each of your characters (speed, fly, and power) should have a role in the battle. Unlike in Metal Madness in which speed formation was useless.
Platyphyllum
Also, I'd like each team to have different stages...one thing I didn't like about the original Sonic Heroes is that each team pretty much had the same stages except they vary in difficulty which kind of bored me after playing the second team.
Platyphyllum
They might also want to add a unique feature that comes with each character such as Rouge being able to do the Screw Kick or Big being able to do optional fishing in various fishing spots throughout each level, or maybe mach speed areas that can only be entered through using Sonic, or even Knuckles and Rouge being able to climb up walls like in the Sonic Adventure series.
Platyphyllum
I agree that those abilities should be in the game. And Big's fishing MUST be optional. ^_^
mmm. I don't know. I'd prefer a real 3D platforming game with just Sonic. SSR is going to be cool, but it's not a traditional platformer.
Oh, and I made it a poll for you :)
sonicphc
Isn't Sonic Heroes a "real 3D platforming game"?

I agree to all these ideas.
I also have more ideas:
1. Have remakes of the levels from the older Sonic games.
2. Have more missions than just the regular and extra.
3. Have at least 2 new teams.

Yes, it is, but it doesn't have just Sonic. I was referring to SSR not being a real 3D platformer.

Oh, I see! That makes sense.
E-123 Omega should be able to make slow descents using hovering.
Platyphyllum
Charmy should be able to do damage by stinging enemies.
Platyphyllum
He does when the other members are absent.
Tails should be able to throw dummy rings whenever he wants.
Platyphyllum
Yes, but more importantly, he should have his Tail Swipe attack. That was cool! Especially in SA after you got the Rythm Badge.
Wow, um... I seem to be somewhat on the other side regarding the improvements I'd like to see:
1) Only 1 or 2 teams - Sega has the habit of creating few stages and many characters/teams to add replay value. I didn't like having to play each stage at least 8 times (twice for each team), especially when the changes made to it for each team where minimal.
2) Multiple missions for each stage - Instead of having Team Dark kill the 100 enemies, Rose to collect those rings and Chaotix to do a random mission, let them all be Team Sonic missions.
3) Lots of stages - These 14 stages left me desire for more. They did make up with their length. On Super Hard mode I need 8-9 minutes to finish Final Fortress...
4) EVEN longer stages! - ... and I still wanted it to last more.
5) More abilities for characters
6) Bosses can be hit at multiple spots, and each spot has a weakness and a strength (ie. takes half damage from Speed, normal from Flight and double from Power)
7) Character abandoning - When a character dies, you do not lose a life, but instead continue with the remaining. That means that parts of the stage that require the lost character can be completed by any type, but with a greater difficulty (For instance if you lose Tails and there is a pit you need to fly over, then enemies will appear that will require Sonic to home attack them). This means that stages can be completed with every character
8 ) Super Hard mode actually BE what it says. That wasn't even Hard mode.
9) And finally... let us skip the credits if we've already seen them once.

Agree, agree, agree, agree, agree, agree, agree, agree, agree

Um, I know. What is it supposed to mean? I created the account in GameFAQs, and since GameFAQs is at least 3 times faster than Gamespot, I use that instead.
Well, know one else knows where you started you CNet Network Entertainment account.
Back On-Topic: I think they should introduce at least one new character (like omega).
AHHHH! I don't want more new characters
(OFF TOPIC: Yeah, that link is the first rant I ever wrote. I'm rather proud of it)

Hehe! In SA2, you had to play each stage 5 times! Twice is no big deal.

Not too many, though. Sonic Heroes was fine, excexpt Tails should use his tail swipe atttack.
6) Bosses can be hit at multiple spots, and each spot has a weakness and a strength (ie. takes half damage from Speed, normal from Flight and double from Power)
Dark_Mits
They already did that in Sonic Heroes. :?
8 ) Super Hard mode actually BE what it says. That wasn't even Hard mode.
Dark_Mits
Yeah, it was. SA2 had "Hard Mode" which wasn't even hard. Sonic Heroes did a much better job with "Super Hard Mode". Sorry if it disappointed you, though.
9) And finally... let us skip the credits if we've already seen them once.

No big deal, use the controller to reset the game.
Still, that is good idea.
1) Um, 8 is bigger than 5
6) Not quite. The attack damage was always the same. It wasn't like "on this part of the boss flight does 2X while Speed does 1/2 damage." Speed was always 1,2, or 3 based on level X the number of people who followed when using a homing attack. Flight was always 1,2, or 3 based on level unless you got unlocky and a level 3 attack did 2. Power was always 3, 6, and 9.
Make it so fight's gauge is a time based thing rather than distance based, as it makes more sense for a character to get tired over time than to be able to fly infinitely until he's moved so far.
One flaw I noticed was that while you're flying you can only go as high as you can fly, even if you hit a spring-like thing (IE: Frog Forest fruit)Â that should propel you high upwards.
I agree with you 100%. That's a very good point and suprisingly I never thought of it like that.Make it so fight's gauge is a time based thing rather than distance based, as it makes more sense for a character to get tired over time than to be able to fly infinitely until he's moved so far.

You could?!?! I have the PC version and I'm almost certain it isn't mentioned in the manual. I'll go check it again...

I'm referring to the GameCube version. The best version.

I kinda liked that, though. It gave you more time to think about your next move, or wait for certain moving platforms that you missed. Personally, I don't care if it seems un-realistic. A flying fox with 2 tails is unrealistic, but I love it and think it's cool.

Yeah, the gamecube version is the best. The Xbox version is okay, but the PS2 version is terrible.

Oh, my bad. Yeah, customization is great, but uhh... buying a fast PC is more expensive than buying a GameCube.
Of course. Seriously, I opt for console over PC since PC has to boot up, get checked for viruses, crash when you use stupid built-in programs to their full potential *cough*moviemaker*cough*. It's a handy machine and all, but I may wanna browse the web for codes, FAQs, or other stuff while playing my console game. (Yeah, I'm glad IÂ can do that since my tube TV is right next to my LCD desktop in my room.) Now that's really handy!
The computer does lots more things than that. But this is off-topic :P So, do you guys have anything else to say about Sonic Heroes 2?Platyphyllum
Yeah, yeah, I know. I wasn't gonna make a 2,000-page-list or anything. LOL!
But I don't have much to say about a Sonic Heroes 2. Sonic Heroes is cool enough on its own, so I don't care if a second one is released or not. However, it is more than worthy of a sequel.
[QUOTE="sonicphc"]If SSR comes out good, I think I'd rather have an SSR 2 than a SH 2Dark_Mits
Yeah, but it'd have to faster than SA2. Maybe even faster than SA.
SH2 would be a good idea. But I am a huge fan of the Adventure series and I think SA2 was really underrated.Synchro456
That game is somewhat disappointing to me, but it was still great.

Yes, definetly! Sonic Heroes is my favorite 3D Sonic game.TAMKFan
That's cuz it was the best 3D Sonic game. Sonic Team actually did it right that time.
