It's interesting that in one interview they say that Silver's levels are designed to be easiest, while elsewhere it's been said that you can't unlock Silver until halfway through the game. One would think that the "easiest" levels would be available from the beginning. I wonder if either or both will prove true.

Yea I wasn't a big fan of the guns either, and the melee attacks he had were useless too. They should have just stuck with the homing attack, spin dash, Chaos Control, and Chaos Blast.
Wow those new screens are awesome, glad to see Shadow on foot and whats this? Not a gun in sight! and it looks like he's about Chaos Spear all those freaks into another dimension! and Chaos Blast that wierd looking new hedgehog which could be the Iblis trigger or Evil Sonic or Evil Super Sonic or something like that
It's a doppelganger, I think. At any rate, it either rises out of or sinks into his shadow - take a good look at the above pictures in their large format - Shadow's shadow has glowing eyes that match the doppelganger's and other color variations that DON"T belong on a shadow; also in one the eyes are right under Shadow's feet, implying that the shadow is moving on its on and not in parallel with its caster. I suspect its either a magical trap or an entity that draws substance from the floor (thus the stony appearance) to give a person's shadow substance and depth, then they are attacked by a reflection of themselves with all their skills and powers (note the dark version of the Chaos sphere from Riders). At any rate HOORAY, Shadows not required to STAY in a vehicle! (sorry, had to say that once. ) I hated that in SA2B Tails was restricted to a mech the whole time. He should have been able to get out and fly somewhere other than the chao garden, even if the mech was the Tornado transformed. As with Shadow, I don't mind him using vehicles necessarily, but he's far more flexible than that.
Tails in the mech was kind of annoying. I don't know where everyone got the idea that Shadow was confined to a vehicle though, now that I think about it.

As far as Tails is concerned, If it was possible for him to get out of his mech, then SonicTeam would have had to make it possible for Eggman to get out of his mech too. Do we really want that?
