I agree with Sonicphc on the Team Chaotix thing. It was an interesting idea to add a sort of questing to make their mission stand out from the others but it was poorly executed. I long gave up on trying to complete a lot of the secondary quests, especially for them. It was hard enough trying to find 10 hermit crabs or Chao, let alone find ALL of them. It was like some of Shadow's hero/dark quests. I spend forever in that first level trying to find the last dark alien I needed to get rid of and it was some small pink bird thing.kbailyOoh, very dark. :P
I borrowed ShTH off a friend once.
We are no longer speaking.
I always like playing as Sonic until SA2 Shadow became my top character
E-102 was pretty cool too I used to like playing as him on SA1
The character that is completely no fun at all is Big the Cat, I used to hate playing as him back on Sonic Adventure1. It just wasn't fun.
No one is as fun to play as Sonic is. Tails and Knuckles may be able to fly or glide but they aren't as fast and can't jump as high as Sonic can.

whoozwah
I liked playing metal sonic on sonic adventure 2 he was maybe not as fast but could jump high i think.
Case in point: Team Chaotix sucked. They kicked serious butt on the 32X, but nobody remembers that.sonicphcIt was a huge improvement over the Treasure Hunting stages in SA1 and 2. And I remember them on the 32x, and they sucked. The rubberband idea was terrible. Teamwork ala Sonic Advance 3 and Sonic Heroes is wonderful, but Chaotix went wrong.

Metal Had better acceleration, but horrible stopping and no special move besides his black sheild thing.he was hard to control, but was the fastest if you could control him.

i got to practice most with him because he had no special moves giving friends a chance not that i'm saying i'm good or there bad .....:D

The fact that Metal Sonic couldn't spindash was a major setback.DocEggmanNega
true but i learned to get along with out it in the end...

The spindash was ineffective by SA2, and you could use the Black Sheild the same way as the spindash on a downhill slope (to a better top speed as well). I haven't tried defending against special attaccks with the Black Sheild, but it should work.
It is also fun to use in teh rail race. Stop near the end of your opponents rail and activate it. They will slide right into you and die (that is if they don't switch lanes or they beat you to the finish)
my least favhas been big ever since sa1. theres no reason i should have to play levels where all i can do is fish as a moderatly retarted cat who wants to find a frog. that slowed the game down so much and i hated it. especially the fact that you instantly die if a fish gets away. who thought that was a good idea?!
the ones i like playin as the most were deffinatly mighty (hes my fav after sonic). and i liked playin as silver in sonic 06 but he just sucks in every other game they put him in. in rivals hes just so slow and its hard to win races as him cause hes not ment to be as fast as the others so it just felt really unbalanced
No they didn't, I always won as P1. It may bcause you are constantly the same player in thsoe races and either win everytime or lose everytime.
P1 is the one I was when I came up with my Black Sheild Block (first tested on my little sister, then further testing revealed it to be slow and tricky to position yourself due to his slippey control but worth it in the end).demoman_chaos
i did change the character if thats what u ment? or my friend was one p1 and i switched to 2p if u ment that ...i don't know why it did that for me then ........
Coincidence maybe. Challenge your little sister to a rail race and see if you win as P1, then challenge a brother or 2 before going against the public.
That is basically how I did my rail racing and board racing training.

i haven't a bro or a sis and it was noticable enough to mates that i started taking the 2p contral to stop them playing to win i don't know where i was going wrong if it was just me as i could then win in 2p mode...you can win in one player tho i have done before just in a fair match no moves or B buttons or both holding B 1p on mine seemed to lose...(sruggs shoulders) sorry for bugging you anyway we've gone off the subject of who's fun to play
The rubber band thing was great! It made for an interesting and cool mechanic for getting going fast!sonicphcEver hear of the Super Peelout from Sonic CD? Or even a spindash? Of course. That was more fun. I don't think rubberbands are interesting. Especially when the other character can hold you back with it. It's annoying to me. :(
sonic is fun
tails is not fun
flo17602
i'd say he's not fun on 06 or adventure 2 otherwise i think he's fun....

It's annoying to me. :( The peelout in Sonic CD failed because you had to wait for the screen to shift before you were allowed to release. Also, the rubber band thing made for great fun with two people, especially if the two characters have distinctly different powers. (EX: Mighty + Espio). Although I had to laugh at the fact that you could have -20 rings because of how the system penalized letting your partner get stuck.
The gun aspect was fun. I could run really fast like Sonic while holding B to initiate a massacre.
The vehicles were useless, though, with the exception of the Hover Saucer on some stages. Why use the vehicles when you're obviously faster on foot?
Except the motorcycle. Riding that with a gun down the highway just makes you feel badass.
It did for me, anyway.
i noticed on the rail race that 2p always won on the battle version (fair race both holding or not holding b no jump lanes or attacks) was it just me or have others noticed this....?Angelwave06For me, it's Metal Sonic who always wins on that stage. He can grind faster than anyone.
