If you could go back in time, which sporting moment would you go to and why? I would have to say Miracle on Ice for me. Not a big hockey fan but that game had a huge impact on American society.Lunney23
As a hockey fan, I'd probably go see that or go to the game in which Gretzky scored his 5 goals in the 39th game of the season for 50 goals total.
The game where Robert Horry hit a game winner vs the Kings in the 2002 WCF against the Kings.
Fisher's 0.4 second shot. (hahahahahaha, "BEAT LA BEAT LA", wtf/e)
Kobe's 81 point game.
The SD-DEN game where LT got his 28th TD.
This years SD vs Colts game.
The Lakers comeback win over Pippen's Blazers in Game 7 in 99-00. (I think they came back from like 20 down in the 4th)
Jack Johnson vs James Jefferies (the ultimate against all odds boxing match ever)
And any game where the Chargers woop up on the Faiders.
I wish I could witness what many are now calling the second best play in Super Bowl history.
Or maybe even the last round in the greatest boxing match of all time...
Or perhaps even one of the best plays in Redskins history, just so I could rub it in their faces. It would have to be the 2005 champions league finals in istanbul where the greatest comeback in sports happened the under dogs Liverpool against argueable the best team in Europe at the time AC Milan things went exactly the way most people thought it would with AC Milan being easily the better team in fact it was like men against boys Liverpool were completely played off the park in the first half they went in at half-time 3-0 down.
I remember actually thinking about switching over it was just too depressing to watch but i thought ill watch the first 10-15 mins of the second half to see how it goes it got well about 10 minutes later thats where it started Stevie G got on to a cross and scored with a header thne not long after Smicer got the ball on the edge of the penalty box i was just thinking don't shoot please don't shoot but he did and scored the score was 3-2.
A few minutes later Liverpool got a penalty Xabi Alonso stepped up the penalty was saved but he got onto the rebound and scored i remember just thinking WTF is going on is this for real or some sick dream but for the rest of normal time it was sort of even and it went into extra time. You could see the comeback has taken its toll on Liverpool physically and mentally drained and AC Milan just kept putting the pressure on the Liverpool players were getting cramp and towards the end of extra time an absolutely unbelievable double saved by Dudek first from a header by Shevenko who also got on the rebound from point-blank range if he had scored i think i would of cried that it was in to penalties it goes.
The first two AC Milan players missed and Liverpool went 2-0 in penalties a few more penalties it was now 3-2 Shevenko was next he had to score he misses and Liverpool win he took his run up and Dudek makes the save Liverpool are champions of europe.
