I hope so.. I believe Vick learned his lesson and he has learned from his mistakes. Let's give him another chance. I am at least.

Think about this, Niners fans. If this happens, on offense we got Vick, Gore, Crabtree, promising Josh Morgan and Jason Hill, and Isaac Bruce, and Vernon Davis.

Defense we now have Dre Bly from Denver, Patrick Willis, Nate Clements, Justin Smith, hopefully Marc Roman again if he doesnt go to another team, Takeo Spikes, etc.

Go Niners!

I wouldn't want him starting but I think he would be a pretty good backup

lol Vick as a backup? Nah dude.. with the amount of workouts hes going to put in while in home confinement and then if he signs with the team and doing camps and stuff, he'd be a sure starter.

If anyone gets vick, I hope they put him in a slash position like Stewart was way back when.

Vick just isn't a good QB, he would be much better everyone on the field.

You really think Vick is an automatic starter? You can work out all you want, it doesn't mean you're the same person you once were more than 2 years ago. He hasn't been throwing much and you're asking a headcase to learn a new offense. A QB is a judgement position, no team out there is gonna design an offense around him, not in the first year at least. [QUOTE="shaddix55"]

Exactly. Vick was mediocre before he left, he won't even be near that level now that he's back.

Agreed - if Vick were to be the starter than no playoffs. With the Slash/2 QB system like some colleges do than maybe.

Everybody who is talking about vick being this or being that is forgetting ONE CRUCIAL thing. The Atlanta Falcons rebuilt their WHOLE roster and redid their ENTIRE playbook to cater to Vick's specific abilities. He was the face of their franchise so that was understandable, but you can bet your life that whoever gives him a shot won't be willing to drop everything and change everything for Vick. He never got thrown into a regular system and said "ok do work".I'm not gonna say he CAN'T do it, but it's not gonna beeasy to come back after 2 years and jump into a system thatWON'T be catered to you.

vick on the 9ers would be scarry , guys vick is 38-28-1 as a starter....he played on a below average teeam, and did really well with them....michael vick would be dangerous for the 9ers and would not only make them playoff contenders but superbowl contenders.

Thats ridiculous to say. The guy hasn't played for 2 years, you don't know if he still can play the game he used to. And even when he did, he had one really good year. He's a great athlete, but this isn't Peyton Manning, Tom Brady or even Philip Rivers we're talking about.

your right this is assuming vick hasnt lost his ability....but im a falcons fan i watched the guy play, he wasnt as bad as ppl make him out to be....we had the worse pass blcoking Oline in the league and possibly the worst coaching in the league....and vick was still a winner...with the right coaching and right situation,,,,,if vick returns to form...this is not a ridiculous thing to say.

To win a super bowl you still need to have a QB who can drop back and stand tall in the pocket. Vick can't do that.

Could he go to a team and contribute? Absolutely. But turn the 49ers into a Super Bowl contender? Thats really REALLY pushing it, especially cause they'd have to go through the Cardinals, Giants, Eagles, Vikings, Falcons, Panthers and Packers (who i think will return to form next year).

The NFC has gotten a lot better the last few years.

The 49ers have had potential to be a good team for awhile now and keep missing the boat, Vick is not a good QB so I don't see him helping.

No no no no no no no no and NO! I was starting to like the 9ers again with Singletary but if they hire that convict forget about it, not to mention he sucked as a QB before what makes you think he'll be so great now?

It's bull. I saw Singeletary talk about it on CSN and all he said is that he himself is not 100% shutting the door, and that it would be a mutual decision between him and Scott if it was made. There's nothing behind this other than the media and crazy niner fans spouting nonsense.

Renegade_Fury

Other teams arent allowed to comment on if theyre interested in Vick because they could be accused of tampering because he is still under contract with ATL.

So what, it's still bull. The niners as an organization have already said no in the past, and I doubt Jed would want to put a gigantic failure such as him on his resume. Vick has always sucked and he wouldn't start to begin with. It makes absolutely no sense to trade for such a bum.

the 49ers whole roster is chalked full of bums....vick has more playoff wins and more playoff expierence then anyone on your 53 man roster....he may be overated...but he would be the most talented man on your team if the 49ers were to sign him....wich isnt saying much since there isnt much talent on the team anyway.

Vicks a joke. Always has been. He has great numbers and advanced far in a weak NFC when he was playing because he could run. But other than being exciting which I will still say he is,his passing numbers were crap, his QB rating stunk, and he was in a really weak part of the leauge. every time he met a real team(Patriots, eagles) he got shut down. FACT he is a tailback that can throw. He never was and will never be a franchise QB.

They are getting there, but Vick isn't the answer. You need a real QB that can pass.

Nate Davis is for the future, I know that much. But if Alex Smith doesn't deliver, maybe drop him and sign Tebow if he's available? The 49ers have 2 first rounders next year.

So Patrick Willis, Frank Gore, Nate Clements, Isac Bruce, Josh Morgan, and so on are all bums? Give me a freaking break. We'll do just fine without Vick thank you very much. I much rather see how it goes with Shaun Hill, and trade our two 1st rounders and draft Bradford or McCoy. If he's so great, why don't you guys keep him? It's not like the Falcons have won anything without him or anything ever in general for that matter. Word from the wise, talk high and mighty after you actually have done something worth bragging about.

I could see Vick playing in San Fran. I could also see a ton of Protestors at every game carrying on about him too. Let's be honest... if this wasn't a star like Vick and instead a scrub in the League who pulled this Pit Bull travesty.... he'd be banned for life from the NFL. It's hypocritical.

I agree with with those who feel Vick is on the downside of his career now... and 2 years away from football has to hurt big time. I don't see him as a legit QB in the league. I can see him more in a role like Pat White will be for the Dolphins. Running the Wildcat... running Reverses and trick plays etc.... where he could air one out. He could still serve a purpose... but I think his QB days are behind him. Should be interesting to see what team/owner takes a chance on him and is willing to deal with all the the negativity that will follow.

The 49ers have a lot more talent then you realize. I moved out to the Bay Area about 2 years ago and have gotten to watch the 49ers. They're really a Quarterback (and were a good coach - Mike Nolan was awful. I like Singletary though) away from being a legit playoff team. Yah see there yah go again with the blind Vick love, pointing to one really good season and ignoring the rest. You know Vick never posted back to back winning seasons? And more playoff wins ? Are you sure about that? I recall a certain member of the roster who won a Super bowl. Check out their receiver corps, I'm sure you'll know who I'm talking about.

If Vick can somehow convert to a wide receiver, than I think he'd be a huge offensive weapon for the 49ers. He's not the best passer out there, but it'd be interesting to see how he does with the 49ers.

Being 29 and having never played WR in the NFL pretty much eliminates the chance of you ever turning into a succesful WR, don't care how much of a freak athlete you are. Vick has 1 hope, the wildcat formation. That is about it.

Thats what I keep saying.
