On January 22, 2006. I woke up early in the morning and was sick as hell. I could barely stand. Then around 10 AM, my dad's friend called him and said I got 4 tickets to the Laker game tonight aganist Toronto and I can't go cause i got another thing to do (He is a season-ticket holder). Since they were good friends he gave my dad the tickets for FREE! I was so stoked that we were going to the Laker game that night cause at that point I haven't been to a game since like November 2005. But I was so sick, so I said I don't know if I am going to go. I waited around 4 PM then we had to leave to pick up the tickets and I said ok ok I'll go. I'm not going to pass up an oppertunity to go a Laker game eventhough I was sick as hell. I left the house with a barf bag (I didn't vomit though) When I got there, I stood over the top and looked at the court and suddenly I felt great. Just seeing the logo down on the floor and watching the timer count down it was around the 50's. I just felt great, then I came back to the realisation that I was still sick so I felt like crap again. I had VIP tickets and sat in the Premium stands. Which is really special cause we get the special seats and we get a waiter that comes serves us. I couldn't eat so I just got Hot Chocolate that was really hot; in fact, I burnt my tongue on it before the game starter and I didn't try to drink it again till like the 4th quarter. So anyway, Lakers came out and played very bad. Kobe had I think 31 points at the Half aganist the Raptors and they were down by 18. I was starting to regret coming. So we all agreed that we will stay ONE more quarter and if they don't do anything then we'll leave. Then Kobe started hitting shots and the margin started to go down and he kept going. After he got to 62 I remember the game a couple weeks ago aganist Dallas and went damn, this might be a special game cause there was so much time left in the game. Then Kobe came out in the 4th and kept knocking them down. After he shot his second free throw for 81 points, we started to leave cause there was very few seconds left on the clock. It turns out I was really sick I think two days later I went to the Doctors and I was at 103 and my mouth was all infected. I couldn't even speak. Still a great game and I will never forget it. man the day you go to a laker game you get to see kobe score 81 lol lucky bastard. all the times ive been to the lakers game nothing really special happened except kobe getting his usual 30 points, nothin to shabby but its always fun to watch hiim light it up in the staples center
You guys are just lucky you go to NBA games here in Australia I have to watch them on ESPN, but next year I coming to the states for a while and I hope I'll see a game.

i've been a big Kobe fan since he's been in the league. I was just lucky I got to go to this game.
