Sad, isn't it? I mean, soccer/futebol isn't one of the biggest sports in the US, and yet they still beat Mexico's ass.No one gives a rat's ass about futbol in your country.

It's still Futbol.
Both teams played like ****. Mexico's best player on the field Nery Castillo left before the first half was over because he pulled a muscle. Mexico's overall best player was missing, Andres Guardado cause he's injured. Carlos Vela did not play because he was serving a suspension (red card against Honduras i think). Zinha was on the bench but got a good amount of playing time, but not enough. Not to mention that "el Guille" Franco was sitting on the bench the WHOLE game, i mean why summon a player if you're not gonna start, especially one as good as Franco? Guillermo Ochoa did not even start, I still don't understand why Eriksson keeps starting Sanchez. These's are Mexico's best players. Giovanni Dos Santos started playing good, almost scoring within minutes, but he calmed down after that. The defense was good and Rafa Marquez has balls for attacking that howard idiot, but it didn't deserve a red card. We need players like Blanco and Marquez that play with balls. Vela and Castillo do but look what happened. Also not to mention that the ref was clearly favoring USA and he missed calls that Mexico clearly deserved, that's what you get when you put in a ref from Central American in a Mexico game.
Anyway, /angry rant. Not to mention that you still gotta play us on our turf ;)
I was glad the US won but really that game could have easily ended up going the other way. Mexico had a few chances that should have been goals and just had brain farts in the box. Not to mention that we were clearing terribly and handing them chances.
Good win but makes me nervous for the Cup when you see how teams like Spain and Argentina performed against top competition.

I agree with this completely. The US defense was absolutely terrible the only reason Mexico didn't win was because Howard is a beast of a keeper. Seriously his reflex save with his legs in the early part of the first half saved us because I feel like this isn't a game that we could've come from behind and won.
