Pacquiao overlooking Cotto ain't good. Cotto ain't garbage, is the underdog with nothing to loose so he will fight like that. Pacman is faster but Cotto happens to be a good body puncher which slows anybody. The only blipping thing that Im concern with is Cotto's corner. Freddie Roach ain't no joke and in Cotto/Clottey fight Cotto was nearly defeated because a stupid cut that the cutman couldn't close. If it comes down to in fight adjustment then Cotto might be in trouble. Anyways I say Cotto by TKO in the 8 round. Either way I be watching and hope that if Pacman wins, then a dream fight with Mayweather should be in order.
people are really underrating cotto.spliffstar12I agree, people act like Pacquiao is going to just walk right in and dominate. It's not going to happen. I won't say Cotto is going to win, but I'm rooting for him to win.
I'm actually undecided on who I think will win. I'm predicting a competitive fight, and if anyone gets stopped, I think it'll be Pacquiao.
This will definitely be Pacquiao hardest fight. Remember, the only time Cotto has ever lost is because of the Margarito and everyone assumes that Margarito cheated during fight with plastics under his gloves. Cotto is very tough. He beat Shane Mosely and he was the much faster fighter.
A thing people are underestimating about Pac-man is that he's got strength too. He is going to be the heaviest he has ever been and I don't that will have any effect on his strength. This will also be Cotto's lightest fight in three years and that could have effect on his body and punches. If Pacquiao has precision, his token quickness, and punches that will make Cotto hurt, he's got the fight. If Cotto will cut off the ring, stay firm, and punish the body, he's got the fight. I'm Filipino so you can already guess who I'm rooting for.
Pacquiao simply dominated Cotto. Piece of crap of trainer that let this fight go that far and let Cotto take more punishment than needed.
The real question is: How can Mayweather wake up at night and somehow not take the Pacquiao fight? HOW? Isn't that the essence of sports? The best against the best.
People are acting like Pacman will just walk in and dominate :lol:X360PS3AMD05Against Pretty Boy? I don't. But I want it to happen and don't want to hear crap about the purse, the split, pay per view share, Mayweather's hate towards Bob Arum. I just want the fight and I want it next year.

Hey, Cotto said himself that he wanted to keep going even when his own father told him to stop. He was the champ. He was going to go out on his own terms.Pacquiao simply dominated Cotto. Piece of crap of trainer that let this fight go that far and let Cotto take more punishment than needed.

Master_Live, ever since I've been coming to this forum, has always picked against Pacquiao. I want to see Pacquiao vs. Mayweather as much as everyone else. I'm one of the biggest Pacquiao fanboys out there, but I'm not stupid. It will be the biggest fight of his career. The toughest fight of his career. I don't think he'll just walk in and dominate. But I don't think Mayweather will either. But Pacquiao will give him a good fight. I can't say who will win. I just want to see it happen. The only way this fight won't happen is because of the purse. And not because of anything Manny will say, but because of Mayweather's notion that he deserves the bigger cut. Manny has earned everything he's gotten. He's fought all the great champions of his weight divisions of his time. He's consistently gone up to fight the bigger man, putting his reputation on the line when everyone doubted him. No excuses anymore. He's beaten a legit powerful welterweight champ. Emanuel Steward is not just calling him the pound for pound #1 anymore, but one of the greatest of all time. Manny has a whole nation and just about the whole continent of Asia behind him. Beloved by fans all over the world. People are never disappointed in his fights. Win or lose, they always get a good exciting fight. Much more exciting than a Mayweather fight. So there's no way Mayweather deserves more than a 50% cut. Wilbon's opinion of Pacquiao vs. Mayweather

I actually think that mayweather is just creating this character to sell fights, which is gonna make it more sweeter if pacquiao defeats him, You think that's all an act? No, that's 100% genuine Pretty Boy Floyd. Sportsman = a person who can take loss or defeat without complaint, or victory without gloating, and who treats his opponents with fairness, generosity, courtesy, etc.; Floyd != Sportsman;[QUOTE="DJ_Magneto"][QUOTE="Master_Live"]

Nah, as the corner you have the responsibility to protect your fighter, what was Cotto to say: "no is over, get me out of here". That was a product of having a trainer in the biggest fight of your life with only one fight of experience. He will take a lot of flack here in the Island for that.Pacquiao simply dominated Cotto. Piece of crap of trainer that let this fight go that far and let Cotto take more punishment than needed.

Well, I don't know about that, unless you have been tracking all my boxing post since I don't know when.
I doubt that Floyd will face Pacquiao since he knows that he would lose. GridironKingactually after I watched mayweather beat marquez, I actually thought that mayweather would be the biggest challenge for pacquiao, but pacquiao would still come victorious in the end
It wasn't all the trainer's fault. Cotto had heart, he wanted to fight till the end. Pretty mediocore fight, so one sidedPacquiao simply dominated Cotto. Piece of crap of trainer that let this fight go that far and let Cotto take more punishment than needed.

Wait MasterLive is from PR? That video everyone has in their sigs is great but the song is awful lol.X360PS3AMD05Which one?

Well looks like they were right.

Why is the purse decided before the fight?
It was a great fight the first 3 rounds was a war... but Manny showed he is p4p the best. Cotto was a class act and I hope he rebounds his next fight. I definitely want to see him match up with Floyd now and I don't have any doubts Manny can take it. It's not gonna be easy and I know Mayweather might be the better boxer, but Manny is the better fighter and he will be the aggressor that night. The last southpaw I saw Mayweather go up against was Judah and he gave Floyd trouble. Manny Pacquiao might be the best southpaw ever and he has power in his right he showed it against Cotto when he knocked him down with the right in the 4th after Santiago told him to just worry about Manny's left. Mayweather also cant use his shoulder rolls as effectively with Southpaws. Freddie Roach the master of gameplanning swears he has one for Mayweather and I believe it. Roach had the same plan laid out for de la hoya, but he just couldn't execute and diverged from it in the later rounds. Mayweather just needs to get over his idea that the split should be 65-35.
