ESPN just reported that Edwards is gonna be a JET! At least Sanchez will have a legit #1 receiver, that is if Edwards can keep his nose clean in NY. :)

I was just going to post this! I really don't know if I should be excited because I'm scared the Jets might've given up too much.
Here's the link if anyone wants it.

Edit: Apparently the trade was Braylon Edwards for Chansi Stuckey and Jason Trusnik. As much as I like Stuckey, I think the Jets made out huge on this deal.

Good trade for the Browns, they need all the draft picks they can get because it doesn't look like they're going anywhere for a while. Not so sure it's a good trade for the Jets though. JML897
Yeah, OK, 3-1 with a dominant defense and a breakout rookie QB, nope, they're not going anywhere. Seriously, what do they need the draft picks for? They have what looks like a franchise QB, two great RB's who if they can free them can get some good yards, a defense that has responded to a great defensive mind, the only position they're short at is WR and now they have a Pro Bowler. Edwards is an upgrade over Stuckey and the backer is basically a prospect. I'll agree that the two draft picks mean they overpaid, but so what? They can afford it.
YES!!! Good thing we traded away our best offensive talent to leave us with basically nothing on offense. Mangini or whoever did this deal is a genius!
Wow so he pissed off Lebron and Lebron gets him kicked out of the city. Excellent. DoomtimeThat's the first thing that I thought of. I don't think Lebron personally had anything to do with the trade, but I'm sure that Browns' brass didn't want to give the fans any more reason to dislike the team. Because let's face it, James is King in Cleveland.
I'm a Braylon fan but don't get too excited Jet's fans, you just overpaid for a receiver with stonehands.
DaBrainz
Great move by the Jets. A rookie QB needs a veteran receiver who drops lots of passes.

Exactly
Edwards is on pace to set the record for dropped passes this season and the Jets decided to solidify the Browns WR's and LB's for him and offer two picks to do more.
I mean I hope Edwards does well but at the same time he's going to a market that does not allow dropped passes
I'm guessing this was their backup plan after the niners filed tampering charges against them. Never been a fan of Edwards, the guy drops too many balls.
Wow so he pissed off Lebron and Lebron gets him kicked out of the city. Excellent. DoomtimeIF true (which most likely isnt), when LB comes to play for the Knicks *cough*, what will happen then :P ?

Lebron is setting up the showdown when he finally lands in New York. Lebron V. Braylon in Madison Square Garden.

he was talking about the browns not having a chance for a while
As long as Lebron keeps his midgets in Ohio I think it would be possible.Does this mean the Knicks won't be able to sign LeBron after the season?
Los9090
its a no lose situation for the jets they gave uo 2 draft picks a 5th rd and a 4rd rd pick that can go as high as a 3rd rd plus two role players for a player who is only 26 yrs old and off field issuses aside has talent plus he is playing for a new contract andthey have someone who can get downfield plus jc wont be facing double teams anymore.
