Brees has 9 td passes so far.
I know its early, but does anyone else think Brees is going to chase this record this year. I think he'll break 40 and certainly is going to be talked about to break the record.

I agree. He had a huge year last year and it looks like he will surpass that this year with how he is playing. Only time will tell!Anything is possible. He is playing out of his mind.

thanks for the answers guys. I really do think brees is gonna get 40 - 45 tds probably. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a run at the record.
he has 9. if he can average 3 tds a game for he last 14 games he'd have 42 tds + the 9 already = 51
its possible, but unlikey.. I certainly wonder how much longer he'll keep up this awsome pass attack.
I think he can, it would be great to watch the Saints-Pats matchup on week 12, its going to be a MNF game btw
If he can stay healthy perhaps. But it is more about the opponents he will face and defenses and after he threw 3 TD's against a good PHI defense made me realize that the 50 TD mark Brady had could be in Jeopardy lolMister__AwesomeA GOOD Philly defense? Are you serious? Did you watch that game? Do you know anything about the Eagles?
Notice now how LAST YEAR matters when it suits your side of the argument.
Liberal alpha male envy.
The Eagles D has holes all over it. If you want to insist it doesn't, get back to me next week when they let up another 400 yds and 3-4 TD's.
So then explain to me Week 1 against the Panthers? I could have sworn that Eagles defense dominated. Enlighten me, Mr. I Know All About Sports. :PNotice now how LAST YEAR matters when it suits your side of the argument.

[QUOTE="LordMaiden"]Kiddie Zelda's logic dictates that the Jets should stink this year because they did last year. Kiddie Zelda's logic would dictate that the Patriots should be 2-0 this year. Kiddie Zelda's logic is kewl!Mister__Awesome
Okay seriously you're like a few years from achieving debating maturity, I'll leave it at that kiddo.
Calling someone an idiot doesn't help your cause either, bub. Pat Kirwan made an interesting point on nfl chat. Brees has the benefit of playing in the dome. In december qbs usually throw less with the bad weather. Brees has the benefit of playing many winter games in a dome sheltered from the elements.
Also after seeing Romo destroy the bucs pass defense, i'm dreading the fact Bress gets two games against that team.....bucs are my team lol.
The fact that Brady got 50 TD is more impressive to me than Peyton's 49 by a ton. Manning played in a dome oppose to Brady who played mostly outdoors in New England and only went to play in warm temperature when they had to go to Miami, due to the fact that year the AFC East faced the NFC East.Pat Kirwan made an interesting point on nfl chat. If he does I applaud him for doing it with less talent around him than Brady. MoonMarvelLess? Our offense goes deep at every skill position, including running back. All Brady had that year was Maroney, Faulk, and I think Corey Dillon was still on that squad. We've got 3 good running backs as well and go 5 deep at WR. And now that we got David Thomas, we've got 2 good options at TE. And we also got Heath Evans from the Patriots. They're about what n what imo.

I'm a diehard Pats fan so I should be arguing the opposite, but I would agree that Brees does have less talent around him. The thing with Brady was that he proved himself without receivers, but in 2007 he had Randy Moss, Daunte Stallworth, Wes Welker, Jabar Gaffney, Ben Watson and David Thomas at TE, and Maroney and Faulk (Evans at FB, Dillon was already gone). None of the Saints receivers are really that accomplished, although they are way more talented at RB than the 2007 Patriots were. I highly doubt Brees will do it, but if he does that would definitely be something.
Same result when he played in Chicago that year they were in the playoffs. Not so good.I wonder how Brees would do if they were playing @ Buffalo in December instead of this Sunday?
