Can Drew Brees break Brady's 50 td season record?

Brees has 9 td passes so far.

I know its early, but does anyone else think Brees is going to chase this record this year. I think he'll break 40 and certainly is going to be talked about to break the record.

He ''could'' but I dont think it will happen.

thanks for the answers guys. I really do think brees is gonna get 40 - 45 tds probably. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a run at the record.

he has 9. if he can average 3 tds a game for he last 14 games he'd have 42 tds + the 9 already = 51

its possible, but unlikey.. I certainly wonder how much longer he'll keep up this awsome pass attack.

Barring an injury, its very possible. We'll see where he's at after Week 8

I think he can, it would be great to watch the Saints-Pats matchup on week 12, its going to be a MNF game btw :wink:

I see it being possible. It helps him that Colston is healthy this time around.

If he can stay healthy perhaps. But it is more about the opponents he will face and defenses and after he threw 3 TD's against a good PHI defense made me realize that the 50 TD mark Brady had could be in Jeopardy lolMister__Awesome

Pat Kirwan made an interesting point on nfl chat. Brees has the benefit of playing in the dome. In december qbs usually throw less with the bad weather. Brees has the benefit of playing many winter games in a dome sheltered from the elements.

Also after seeing Romo destroy the bucs pass defense, i'm dreading the fact Bress gets two games against that team.....bucs are my team lol.
