Yeah they are overrated. I don't like them. And I won't like them even if they do good. I will never jump on their bandwagon.

Win the east? They still have to win the atlantic first. They don't have the depth to beat out the Raptors for the Atlantic title. They will only benifit from a shorten bench in the playoffs. But they won't have home court all i can say is 82 games.

posts like this make me laugh...its like you giys dont even follow basketball and just feel like saying something...if anything the Celtics have some of the best back up players in the east!! Posey is a great shooter, deffender and has tons of exspirience. House is that spark that can come of the bench and light it up with his caree 38% three point percentage. Not to mention Tony Allen is a shut down deffender who can drop 20 points on a given night...So no...shut your mounth, they have way more depth, GOOD depth, then any other team in the east...

If you think the Celtics have more depth than the Bulls, you're just out of your mind. The Celtics don't even scratch the top five for bench players in the east.

Just those three players alone can be starters, and have been for other teams. And i didnt even mention Scals *yeah i know hes not that good but he can hit the three and has playogg ecspirience* or big baby. haha the bulls? Whos your center? Whos your 4? please dont make me laughf...so inexspirienced...just wait, Bulls will be #1 just not now buddy

Wow...Ignorance AND arrogance from so many Celtics fans. If your fanboyism can't help you see the truth, allow me. Tony Allen is good. He can play D and score except from the three point line, but that's it. Eddie House can't play D and streaky. Posey is a below average scorer even as a starter and pretty good defender. Detroit, on the other hand, has Amir Johnson, Jason Maxiell, Jarvis Hayes, Rodney Stuckey, Lindsey Hunter, Antonio McDysse, and Ronald Murray. Raptors have Jose Calderon, Carlos Delfino, Joey Graham, and Jorge Garbojosa. Bulls have young, incredibly talented depth with Tyrus Thomas, Thebo Selfolsha, Joakim Noah, Chris Duhon, and probably the best sxith-man in the east Andres Noicioni. Just you naming EDDIE House as one of the best players off the bench is showing the depth is pretty bad. And you said starters?!?!? LMAO. Please, go away. Eddie House is not a starter and neither is Posey. Tony Allan is the only good player off the bench, so please go away and stop trying to look smart.

A team can be deep without having a bench full of starter caliber players. What the Celtics bench needs is what it has - complimentary players with specific skills that compliment our stars, players that fit into the team concept with high bball IQ's. They will not be going 10 deep in most games, nor should they, and they will also never sit Pierce, Allen and Garnett together. At least one of them will be on the court at all times.

I firmly believe that Tony Allen, Eddie House, James Posey and Glen Davis are all very good at what they do and they provide Doc the tools to give different looks and play different styles of ball depending on matchups. Brian Scalabrine and Leon Powe can and will contribute minutes as well. Overall I'm pleased with the Celtics bench, and pleased with their results in preseason. They need another center on their roster, but Pollard may be able to fill that role when healthy. Obviously it could always be better but I just don't see what's so horrible about them, or why they will hold this team back.
