It doesn't matter when the next team drafts him; he'll still ask for the same amount of money. There is no way on Earth he'll settle for 2nd round money.thequietguy
So that would mean he would sit out a second year and hope the 2011 NFL rookie draft doesn't have a rookie salary cap. Hell, there may not even be a 2011 season. 2010 will be an uncapped year with the owners poised to lock out the players before the start of the 2011 season unless certain things are resolved with the rookiesalary cap being one of them.
No actually next year there isn't a salary cap at all, its 2011 that he will have to be worried about. What will probably happen, in which every veteran practically agrees with and owners wont have a problem with at all is putting in a rookie salary cap for the top picks. Its not official but that will probably be put up to vote during the negotiations next year.Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't next year a CBA year. Rookie salart cap could bite him in the butt.

Rookie salary cap will not be an issue for either side. Both will agree to it because owners are saving money and veterans will be happy that an individual who hasn't even played an NFL game wont be making more then them. Please Log In to post.
