I'm not just talking about this season. I am talking about the past 3 or so seasons they made the playoffs without a really dominant Bynum and no Gasol. Kobe was dropping 35+ points every night almost to keep his team afloat.jfcundiff

I think the point i was trying to make in all this is that no one is "win it all by yourself" good. To condemn Pierce for not being able to win it all by himself isnt fair because no one can, obviously Kobe is a much better player and took his team further, but Pierce did his best to carry the team by himself when he could.

What?!?!?!? I don't know about that man he is definately in the top 10 in the NBA and you could definately argue that he is the best player on his team at this moment.

The point is Kobe was doing it alone before Gasol got there. Bynum only started to play better starting this year. Who else did the Lakers have to help Kobe? Oh no, not Kwame Brown, the worst #1 pick in history. Luke Walton is just a bench player. Radmonvic is the only other people that Kobe had, and was not playing extremely until Gasol came along to take the pressure off of Kobe and him. Kobe was taking the team on his back and taking him to the playoffs the last couple of seasons way before Gasol was a thought.

Who care how he does in the regular season all that matters is that he hasn't won a championship without Shaq. I'm not saying he is not a great player because he is, but the fact of the matter is that he has brought his team further than that of Pierce, but he still hasn't won anything. So no he hasn't been doing it before Gasol got there nor when he came in.

AI yes, even earlier in his career he pretty much took the load for the 76ers and took them to the finals without an all star on the team unlike pierce who wouldn't even have been in the finals had the celtics not recieved KG and Ray Allen. Even in this years playoffs he seemed to be the only person on the team that wanted to win, but the team was just so bad defensively there was no chance for him to make it past round 1.
