What's up with the ownership? This guy over at HFboards complained about it too, but he didn't get into details lol. I really want to go to a game there; I hear absolutely nothing but exceptional comments about the Xcel Energy Center lol.
Xcel is an OUTSTANDING place to watch hockey. The ownership are just playing the game of doing as little as possible in terms of spending money to win, and as much as possible to make money. Winning if it costs them money simply isn't a priority. Making money isn't a bad thing but they've made it clear by their actions that they're not going to risk any money to make the team better. Basically they do as little as possible, and they even screw that up as they've been bickering with Gaborik because they don't want to pay him any more money and now waited so long that if they try to trade him by the end of the year they'll get squat for him at this point because he's going to have surgery.
When they do make a move it is for some cheap disposable free agent or so so player that the ownership talks up as if they made a big move ... like when they brought in Chris Simon last year. We're supposed to be happy about that move? The management made it sound like he was just some misunderstood but really a good guy.
