It may not be just wins and loses for every team but it's a prime factor for deciding the top five. I don't see how anyone would ever expect to see a 0-1 team in the top five after week 1. That's absurd. If we were to match the Titans to any one of those five teams, are you telling me those five teams wouldn't be favored? I'm not going to deny that some of the rankings are questionable, however, it's not surprising to see those five up there.

You seem to think NE doesn't belong there. I don't see you saying Indy doesn't belong there, considering NE scored more points and Brady piled up better numbers than Manning.

Oh, so now we're up to two teams that don't belong there. Please enlighten me as to who should. Do this while you avoid the rest of that post.

I'm feeling pretty confident that the pats will beat the Jets but only time will tell.

ok, to the rest: when you go into OT against the number one team in the nfl, and that is when you lose, yeah you deserve to be in the top 5. and it would probably depend if it was at home or not for whether or not theyd be favored.(i believe the home team is automatically given an extra 3 pts) btw dont expect another post from til tomorrow afternoon or later

What?

Being favored or being home has nothing to do with it. Niether does losing in OT, no matter who is playing. A loss is a loss. As far as the rankings are concerned, the Titians are an 0-1 after week one. There is no way, no matter how you are justifying it, that the Titans belong with the top 5 in the week 1 rankings.

All you're doing is avoiding the main point about the FIVE TEAMS AT THE TOP OF THE RANKINGS. You're bringing up other aspects that hold no relevance to the issue.

I gotta support my team, even if that means bragging and coming up with ridiculous predictions. To be honest, it's about time the AFC East became exciting again.

Brady needs better protection. I don't care how good you are, you can't QB with o-line holes like that.

He didn't get sacked at all though. He's not a very good scrambler.

Never was. 100% pocket. I'm sure having bodies around him still makes him a little nervous. Obviously, I was wrong about him being over the injury. Still, this is better than back in the day when the Pats were bottom feeders. I should be grateful for the joy that have already given me. Wow. I'm acting as if it's the end of the season. I'm not accustomed to this. LOL.

Peyton took 5 games to really get back into things last year, and he was only out for the offseason/preseason. Indy ended up making the playoffs. Brady to Galloway will improve, and after a few more games he'll be back. Don't even get me started on the defence. Obviously the loss of Seymour showed today, although I thought they didn't play horribly. We didn't have Welker (who we all know would have been the solution to that blitz) and Mayo either. Just give it some time before completely dismissing them.

The Jets were one of the better teams in the NFL last year. They have a bunch of talent on both sides of the ball. The Jets being a good team should come as no suprise to anyone.

What suprised me was the way Brady played. There were several drops, but Brady also missed on a few throws. Revis made a good play on that INT though.

Maybe Patriots fans were spoiled with the offense in 07....I'm not sure they can match that again.

Being over the injury? No, Brady is strictly a pocket passer and can't roll out to save his life

Tom Brady may not be mobile, but he knows how to avoid the initial pass rush by either moving up in the pocket or ducking under the guy coming from his blind side. How he can usually sense the guy on his blind side and duck out of the way amazes me. I think he did it at least twice against the Jets. He's still not in his comfort zone in the pocket, though. I'm not going to pinpoint everything on Brady as I think the offense as a whole needs to play better. Keep in mind the Patriots have a new guy calling the plays as well. You might not think that makes much of a difference but it does.

With their schedule and the way they're playing the Pats might be lucky to get to 10-6.
