[QUOTE="nickdastick"][QUOTE="andyboiii"]fun fact
NFL 2k games have never scored below a 9 on IGN or Gamespot. I guess you can call them fanboys too

Okay, and how well did APF do on those same web sites? Exactly. I like how you put NFL 2K games so you didn't have to mention that stinker of a game.
And I'm glad we are bringing up reviewer's scores since they tell us if a game is good or not... Not the number of games sold... that has nothing to do with it... More people throwing down $50 on a game instead of taking the $20 game doesn't mean anything...
APF was limited in what it could do. the gameplay was there but the options such as franchise couldn't be done because it wasn't possible with legends in the game. when would they retire? after 3 years lol not only that the gameplay was still solid but the problem people and most reviewers had were it were the lack of features which was true. As for Maddens sales, it does not indicate if a game is good or not. Soulja boy was popular and sold a lot of records too does that make him good? no it does not, not saying madden is bad but i'm just saying numbers sold does not indicate if it is a good game or not. Look at Madden 06, that was possibly the worst madden and it STILL sold a lot but Madden sheep will buy it year after year despite all of its flaws
Yeah the gameplay was there... Must have been hidden for most people because it was decent at best... Hey, I understand Madden 06 didn't have many features but it still had good gameplay. Plus, I was talking about Madden 05 outselling this "amazing game" called NFL 2K5 even though it was $30 more... Games sell a lot because people like them. If you don't like Madden, that's great, but it sure seems like there are MANY more people that like it compared to the 2K series. Sorry to break the news to you.
