Yeah, Gibson was huge in the Detroit series and in this playoffs till he got hurt. Where did I say he wasn't?

Anyways, you called him LeBrick which would kind of mean that you believe he isn't all that good of a player. The Cavs were way over-matched in last year's Finals. They are a well balanced team, while the Cavs are heavily reliant on LeBron.

LTomlinson21

Then why only give LeBron credit when others stepped up?

I called him Lebrick because he doesn't that great of a jumper and has played terrible against Boston, look at his FG%, lots of people call him that. The cavs don't need to be and shouldn't be reliant on LeBron, this year they have delonte West so why not fall back on him more? And Gibson played in the finals, with Varejo and Big Z who is better than people admitt, there was no reason to put it all on Lebron and not trust others more. Even though they were outmatched and not ready to be there.

I wouldn't say others really stepped up besides Gibson. I think Z is doing much better this year in the playoffs then last year. But, whatever. They just don't have a true other consistent number two man.

Delonte West, I have been impressed by him. He has been shooting better than Lebron. And Varejao shoots better than people think.

I thought Boston would blow everyone away, get to the finals, and blow away any western team. But after two game 7's in a row, especially the one with Atlanta, I'm not so sure anymore.

They really might lose to the Cavs tomorrow, which would be a shame. I think this is the last chance Garnett and Ray Allen will have for a ring. Maybe even Pierce as well.

Remember when Kenny Smith and Barkley said before the playoffs, there's no team that can beat the Celtics in 7 games?

Lol "LeBrick"

LeBron is one of my favorite players but that nickname always makes me laugh:lol:

X360PS3AMD05
Funnier than "Garnot"

I Think The Spurs Lakers series will be very close, and in the east i see the pistons coming out on top there.

In the finals if its the lakers or spurs, I think the Pistons are the only team that could beat the lakers (because of that scrappy hard nosed defence)

the spurs aren't playing at home and they haven't proven they can win on the road this series. I want the spurs to win too but there is a good chance they aren't gonna be advancing to the WCF

I love when people make the excuse of a team being too old. Especially when they have won a championship almost every other year. It's true that the Spurs role players are getting older but if they do what Detroit did, and add a bunch of young players to the bench, they will be a top team for a long long time. Their core three have at least a few more years of being dominate together, they just need to surround them with younger guys who give them energy when needed.

I guarantee you that Kobe would have a similar FG% if went up against that defence.

Probably not, because their trying to force Lebron to take jumpshots and he is not as consistent as Kobe, but you never know.

"WILL MORE THEN LIKELY (meaning probably) be Spurs vs Lakers"

I personally think it will be a Spurs vs Lakers western finals, i never said its the 100% truth or its goign to happen for sure. Its just my guess, reason being... the Spurs play amazing defense and are much more tried and tested then The Hornets.

I would love to see the Horonets win, but i doubt it will happen. The Spurs have much more veteran leadership

Like how Boston swept them? Oh wait..

You don't give the Cavs enough credit, they are a good team and could take almost anybody 7! I think Kobe/LeBron in the finals would rock. Spurs/Pistons would smell.

No, I say what I say because the Cavs don't have anyone who I think can effectively defend Kobe, while the other teams have players who could.

And yeah, I'd predict spurs/pistons would get the worst ratings a Finals has ever gotten.

Nobody has been able to guard Kobe. If anybody could it is Lebron. Move him to SG and Wally to SF, I am sure LeBron could hold his own.

Are you serious? Thats why LeBron doesn't guard Kobe often.

Meh, Lebron got owned by pierce. It's obvious now that Kobe would murder him in 4. Lebron needs a lot of work, Kobe was light years better than lebron at his age. Magic was better than both of them.

To the TC talking how how the Celtics and Cavs struggle to score 80 a agame while the Lakers score 100 per game, umm thats because the Celtics and Cavs are very good defensive teams. Both of those teams play better defense than the Nuggs and Jazz.

Offensively maybe, but at the age of 22 Kobe had already been named to the All Defensive team more than once. LeBron needs to learn to play defense, until then, I think Kobe was still the more complete player back then.

I am a huge Laker fan and if the Lakers do make it to the Finals, they will be facing the Pistons because Boston is playing really bad so no team really scares me in the East except the Pistons. I think, for the most part, D-Fish can contain Billups but Farmar will get eaten up by Stuckey and Billips. Kobe can handle Rip, Tayshaun scares me, I don't think Vlad can defend him well. LO or Pau will have to use their length to bother Sheed as much as they can and our bench would really need to step up. Ronny has to make sure Maxiel doesn't make a big impact when he comes into the game.

I'm actually thinking Boston will take it in 6. Remember that Cleveland beat Detroit last year (in 6 games too I believe), and Boston just beat an improved Cavs team.

Yeah but they barely beat a Cavs team with zero chemistry. Celtics are playing poorly in the playoffs and if they continue to play the way they are playing, Pistons will run all over them. I said it at the beginning of the Season, KG and Allen are not leaders and the only way the Celtics can win is with Pierce leading the way and that is the only reason Celtics have made it to the Eastern Conf finals. KG is a great role players but needs to grab his balls and start dunking on people and make his presence felt. Allen needs to hustle and get open and drop those open shots. Pistons are all rested up to go into Boston to steal one on Tuesday already and from what has been seen, Celtics have no chance on the road. Pierce is now going to have Prince all over him and we all know Prince plays alot better defense than Lebron. Lebron was up on him but he never denied him the ball and Prince will make it hard for Pierce to even touch the ball. The only way I see the Celtics win this series is with the Refs.

What are you trying to say?

I think he is saying noone can guard Kobe.

there are actually 2 defenders in the league who can guard kobe really well, prince on the pistons, and battier on the rockets. other then that, there is pretty much no defender that can really stop kobe

The defensive player of the year couldn't defend him???

Are you kidding me. Boston will crush the Lakers just like they have done it in the past. And besides don't feel so confident about the Lakers reaching as the Western Champions you still gotta go head to head against either Spurs or New Orleans. And honestly i hope is New Orleans so i can get to see West and Paul beat the crap out of Kobe and the Lakers.

You mean a team with zero talent? No need for chemistry when your only player is Lebron. And again, Detroit lost to that same team last year.

That's just my opinion though.

But its not the same team. Wally, Wallace, Smith, and West. If they had Gibson they probably could of won last night.

Why are people assuming that this Pistons are the same as last year. The difference couldn't be bigger, WE HAVE A BENCH! The starters have gotten plenty of rest and that actually let us develop our young talent.

Crush the Lakers? Hahaha, I would love hear your reasoning on that.

Why would you want KG on Kobe? Who would guard Gasol? Allen?

Because we don't have a star player. Everyone hates Rasheed and people are to busy drooling over Chris Paul to even notice Chauncey Billups. Haha actually a lot of people are picking Detroit over Boston in six. They were just talking about it on ESPN but it doesn't really matter who picks who because Detroit and Boston are really the ones with say on who advances to the Finals. Well and Stern has say too................and one or two refs.

I like the way you think. I said the same thing. Only Stern and the Refs can win this series for the Celtics. Hahahahahahah

ASK_Story

No, it doesn't. The Celtics will only be around for another year or two and then they'll suck again. The NBA needs a new marquee rivalry.

And besides, Boston is probably the most boring playoff team to watch, even more boring than Detroit and San Antonio. Every year people complain about boring teams in the playoffs, so why does Boston get a free pass? They play disgusting basketball. I don't want them in the Finals.
