the only team i see the lakers having problems with is the spurs. i am so sick of seeing the spurs win the championship. i was really rooting for pheonix but it looks like they won't make it past the spurs so my only hope for a team to beat them now is the lakers.

Just as long as Boston loses, their fans act like the title belongs to them and nobody else is allowed to have it. Spurs, Lakers, Hornets, Magic....or whoever, just as long as it's NOT Boston.

lol you talk big with you 114 posts. I was being sarcastic, we dont own the title but this is the home of basketball hence my comment on "bring the title home".

Cute, attack my post count. I have better things to do than post here. Hence my accounts at level 12 but I have a low post count.

They did it with not many problems the last time without Pao. With Kobe, the road isn't as bad as it may be for other teams. He feeds off the opponents crowd more so than the Staples Center.

I totally agree. The Lakers are playing well but the Jazz have just as good of a chance as anybody to take down the Lakers. Maybe we shouldn't be counting our chickens before they hatch hmm....

We'll see what happens. The Lakers are certainly playing very well but anything can happen and the Jazz are monsters at their home court.

Sweep the team with the best home record (37-4)? That seems unlikely.

I wouldn't be surprised, the lakers did end Utahs 19 home game win streak and that was without Gasol or Bynum

I think the Lakers and the Jazz would have a series, and the Jazz could take it in game 7. I'm a Jazz fan, so this is predictable, but I'd say we'd have a bunch of great games in round 2 when the Jazz beat the rockets Friday.

Utah or Houston will win one game at least, bet on that.

No one on Denver plays defense except Camby, Melo is terrible on defense, the Jazz and the Rockets are both MUCH better teams defensively.

If its Jazz vs Lakers im a say Lakers in 6, if its vs the Rockets ill guess Lakers in 5

Utah will probably go down in 6. If it goes to Houston, it's gonna be in 5. Lakers probably won't sweep these two since both play a lot of defense, something Denver was seriously lacking.

Well he is probably the best person on the Lakers to guard McGrady. Especially since Ariza is out. But T-mac has Battier so he doesn't have to guard Kobe.

They could sweep Houston (in their present state), easily, any team could. Utah is an elite team though, or at least near that status, no way they'd take them out in 4.

The Lakers couldn't sweep Houston, and Utah isn't going to win tonight. Houston going's to make the comeback and win in it in 7. Then, I would like for Houston to beat the Lakers, but I don't think they will without Yao. They will at least win 2 though. I guess we have to wait and see.

I have to agree with the Fisher comment. I don't get why my fellow Jazz fans are hating on Fisher. He was SUCH a huge boost in last years playoffs and for that, I think it was awesome that the Jazz let him go. It did suck that he went to the Lakers but... oh well, there is no reason to boo him. And again, the Jazz won't get swept by the Lakers, if anything, they have a good chance of taking the series.

Yes we do, 3-1 in the season series and they whooped them in Utah without Gasol. I can see the Jazz winning maybe 1 or 2 games if they have the crowd behind them though.......

Do you watch teams other than the Jazz? They had trouble with Houston w/o Yao might I add. The Lakers will destroy the Jazz in 4 or 5 games.

If you recall, alot of teams had trouble with the Rockets without Yao, honestly, they did go on a 20+ game win streak, most of them without Yao. And yeah i barely watch the Jazz, I live in New Jersey, i just think they have the best overall team in the playoffs.

One game makes them superior? I thoguth thats why they play 7?

The Lakers are centered around Kobe, all Kobe, little Gasol, everyone else is filler.

The Jazz have a well rounded team and a deep bench, the Lakers bench is weak, it consists of Luke Walton, Radmonavich, Jordan Farmar, and Rodney Turiaf.

Lakers took 3 out of 4 from the Jazz this year, all without Pau. LOL at the Lakers being a one man team. Gasol averages 19 PPG and Odom is good for around 15 points and ten boards a night, plus a couple blocks and great defense. Fisher provides veteran leadership and good outside shooting. Radmanovic is a sniper when Kobe and Gasol are doubled.

LOL at the Lakers having no bench. LA has arguably the best bench in the NBA. They've consistenly came in and stretched leads for the Lakers all season and they did it again today in that second quarter. When Vujacic is hitting from outside we are deadly.

Is that why Korver has 2 points to Vujacic's 9?

Korver - 7.2 ppg 1.7 rebs .5 assists .455 FG%

Vujacic - 7.8 ppg 1.3 rebs .8 assists .476 FG%

Vujacic > Korver! Vujacic has been playing better than Korver all playoffs! The Lakers have an amazing bench, one of the best in the league!

...don't know waht you are talking about...they have a pretty good bench. Vujacic is also good as well, by spreading the floor since hes capable of knocking down 3's

The calls were bad on both ends. But Boozer should be in foul trouble alot this series if he's matched against odom. And has to help defend the paint against Kobe.

I hope i am right with this, i've seen Laker games all year. The reason the Jazz closed within 4 points is because the Lakers kind of switched it to "autopilot" they have done this all season long and when it counts they pull away and win. Sometimes it can come back to bite them but the coaches need to get on them to stretch the lead to 30 points and then the starters can rest at the end of the game. I've noticed them come back in the second half, sometimes they go quarters without really "playing" and they still win. Well we'll find out in Game 2 if they can get away with doing this.

[QUOTE="newman12-18"][QUOTE="Bauers-Twin"]the Jazz will beat the Lakers in 5 or 6, the Jazz are the superior team.-Halftime-

Lakers beat the Jazz this year without Bynum or Pau in the lineup ending the Jazz 19 home game win streak, you tell me who is the superior team

Don't forget the Machine, he just waits behind the arch for the defense to collapse and fire a 3 :D

[QUOTE="Bauers-Twin"]Lakers gettin scared, Utah has it down to 4 points.Bauers-Twin

You getting scared? That Laker D owned your boys! 37.9%! Can't win shooting like d-leaguers!

Utah's shooting was just off today. I don't know what happened, it was if fate just didn't want them to win with some of those 4th quarter shots that went in and out.

I'm not a Utah fan just so you all know, they just seem like the best team to me, and game 1 isnt thgat big of a loss, in LA with La refs and Boozer fouled out, they'll still win the seires.

The calls were bad on both ends. But Boozer should be in foul trouble alot this series if he's matched against odom. And has to help defend the paint against Kobe.

yeha i didnt see any real bad calls, but its always different dpeending on the arena you're in.

Iono maybe my seats were to high. But watching the replay after some of the calls the refs missed quite a few. Fisher never gets any calls.

Being swept? I see the Jazz winning 1-2 games.
