Is the Wimbledon the biggest tennis event in the world?

There are 4 major tournaments(called "Grand Slams"), The Australian Open (January), "Roland Garros" AKA The French Open (May/June), Wimbledon (June/July), and The US Open (August/September).

Wimbledon is the oldest of all 4 of them, and is generally thought to be the most Prestigious, as it carries with it a great deal of history.

So if you were going to pick 1 of them, Wimbledon is probably the biggest, yes.

I've been watching tennis regularly (mostly majors, I must admit) for the past decade, and I would say that yes, Wimbledon is seemingly the most important/prestigious/wanted tournament of the season. But all are worth the same in the standings...

If I had to pick an order for the amount of attention given to each major tournament, the US Open would come second, very closely followed by Roland-Garros and finally, the "other major", the Aussie Open. I love watching all four of them, living in the same Time Zone as NYC, I usually watch the US Open the most for obvious reasons...

EDIT : Oh, and the French Open (Roland-Garros) took places a few weeks ago, Li Na (women's single) and Rafael Nadal (again...) (Men's) won the event.
