Jimmer goes off on New Mexico for 52 and the Cougars avenge two of the three losses during the regular season.

Jimmer breaks personal records, single game records, career records, everything! Anyone else witness the might of Jimmer?

Can anyone else even be in the running for Player of the Year anymore?

Nope. I've only begun watching NCAAB because I got Jimmer fever. I'm not even going to hide my fanboyism here.

Like you with Rondo. And Yao. And Vick. :P

But anyway, Jimmer stole Kemba's thunder. Kemba scores 33 in one game, Jimmer goes out & scores 33 in the first half. Good for him though. He's been balling all season.

Yeah, I am a big Jimmer fan, but I am not going to sit here and say he is going to rock it in the NBA. I do have to say though, that the comparisons to Adam Morrison and JJ Reddick are ridiculous. Neither of those two guys could score like Jimmer and neither of them have the body type he does either. Morrison is 6" taller and a stick and if he had played when they moved the 3pt out further, he would have had issues like a lot of guys with his skill set and size. I mean, Jimmer is almost the same weight as Morrison and that's his NBA weight! And as for JJ, he isn't much of an inside scorer at all and he's pretty small too. That being said, I'm not saying Jimmer will be some star, but I do think he has a very good chance of being a solid contributor to a team. You can't deny this guys scoring ability and most all analysts compare him to Steph Curry, at least when it comes to his scoring ability. When ESPN starts saying "Jimmer Range" when anybody drills a deep 3 and Kevin Durant tweets that you're the best scorer in the world, you gotta be at least somewhat legit. I've just been enjoying the ride and hope it doesn't stop anytime soon!

JJ is 6'6. Jimmer is 6'2. I dont think he can be thwe NBA player JJ is. JJ is the best bench player on a title contending team. I like what Jimmer's doing

but fiest off he's small, and doesnt doesnt have curry PG skills or speed. He can make the NBA but i doubt know if he can contribute on a good team.

You are kidding yourself if you don't think Morrison and JJ Redick can score like this kid while they were in College... JJ Redick Senior Year- 27 points (47% FG%) Jimmy Senior Year- 28 points (45% FG%) Adam Morrison Last Year- 28 points (50% FG%) Notice how all of them have a higher FG% and score roughly the same amount of points?

did anyone read the boxscore. he had 37 FIELD GOAL ATTEMPTS. Are you kidding me? In college? They play 8 less minutes than they do in the pros. Even on one of the nights he decides to chuck it every time he gets the ball, kobe bryant doesn't even put up 37 shots in a game. You better scorebig if you shoot 37 shots

Haha wow. That's just insane. He had more points by himself than a number of teams combined on that day, and almost scored more than the Penn St./Wisconsin game. My parents live in Albuquerque where UNM is, and on the radio my Dad overhead a devout UNM fan go on a rant as to how a coach could let a player score 52 points .

The guy can shoot the ball well, and is a pretty good college player. He will most likely win POY, but I don't see him being a force in the NBA. Maybe a bench player, sixth man, but I don't think he will get that many shots in the NBA. I would laugh if Jordan picked him for the Bobcats. I mean if Adam Morrison can become an NBA Champion then why can't Jimmer. Bring on the Draft!

I think Adam Morrison, who has 2 NBA rings, wore a Suit and Tie for every Laker game.

Add sub-par defender to that list. He basically runs the show, in terms of the freedom his coach gives him offensively, which is why he can chuck it up as many times a game as he does (it helps that they go in too), but his game is definitely going to change at the next level.

I'm not saying they couldn't score, I was saying they couldn't score the same ways he does. Case in point, both JJ and Adam played when the 3 line wasn't deep like it is now and both had issues shooting from 3 when they got into the NBA (JJ has since gotten better) and JJ still can't score inside the same way Jimmer can. I'm not trying to say that Jimmer will be this star or even a starter in the NBA, but he's got the scoring skills to be a contributor and I think a solid contributor for an NBA team. It's like Dell Curry (Steph's dad) said, there is always room in the NBA for a shooter.

I don't really care about Adam Morrison, but I've watched JJ Redick since his Freshman year and he is simply better then Jimmer. Deal with it. Nothing is wrong with being a worse scorer then one of the greatest players in ACC history.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeecfbJIQFw&feature=related

and you want to tell me that he couldn't shot an NBA 3 consistently until he got into the NBA? JJ Redicks first year he shot .388 from behind the arc, which is certainly respectable.

JJ Redick has something called in the court range, meaning that once he's on the court he's in his range. There is a reason that people guarded JJ Redick 30 feet away from the Basket! Look how freaking deep he is in some of the 3s (specifically 0:53). Against the #2 Ranking team in the country. Count how many times you hear nothing but the Net.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLQ_ULUMSY4

And who the hell cares if he didn't shoot in the paint a lot, we sure as hell don't complain "Ray Allen and Reggie Miller didn't score in the Paint a lot!" He shot freaking 40% from beyond the arc. JJ Redick has one of the purest jump shots in the game. Period. JJ Redick scored 40 points while shooting only 16 times. Jimmer scores 52 shooting twice as much....

Just noticed this seems slightly hostile... I didn't try to make it come out that way. JJ Redick's problem when he first entered the League were all mental, he even went to a sport psychologist. He wasn't use the not being "The Big Man on Campus" and was unhappy about play time. That is the only reason he struggled early in career, but he's always had the range.
