He is the biggest sellout in NBA history. Look how bad he choked in the playoffs this year. He was laughable at best. So like a chump he goes out and joins a team with guys that are as good or even better then him to try and win now.

I would not in a million years put him in the same breath as Magic, Jordan, Bird, Kobe, Or even Dr.J

I don't care if he wins 5 titles he is a sellout and we all know it he could not stand the heat in the kitchen or hack in on his own shoulders so he left.

He is a sellout BUM in my book

LeBenedict Arnold is no epic fail sir, he juat wants to win. Cant blame the man for wanting a ring, you can however be mad for how he "gave up" during the playoffs. The NBA is a business before its a sport, and he made a business decision. End of story.

You just furthered my point he gave up in the playoffs. The great ones like I already mentioned would never in a billion lifetimes do that. In fact they would put the team on there shoulders and WIN!

Lebron has never won anything but some of you guys are just really bad haters. Calling him a bum and a failure? Waste of talent? Lol yeah. Going a bit far.

He has everything except a ring. Why the hell would he give up in the playoffs? That's just Lebron haters grasping for straws.

Besides, he did nothing wrong. He had a chance to switch teams, and he did. Nobody in the history for sports has ever taken more **** for simply switching teams.

I wouldn't say he is a failure, although he is all about himself and no one else. If LeBron can't benefit from something, he doesn't do it. I do believe his talent is a bit overrated. why does Lebron James need a ring? What does a championship do for him? He is already a multi-millionaire. If he really loves the game of basketball, he shouldn't "need" a ring. He leaves a very loyal fanbase to head for a stacked team that is surely going to perform under everyone's expectations. LeBron has already sealed his legacy as a sellout and a man all about his own ego.

Sweet. I was hoping for another Lebron thread to pop up soon. Haven't seen one in awhile.

He may never be a true NBA legend, but to call him a failure is a little premature. It won't be as sweet or rewarding if he wins titles in Miami, but that certainly isn't a failure of a player.

How not? It's really simple to look at it. He was hyped up to be the next Jordan, or near it, and definitely showed some of the same characteristics. Then, he quit in the Boston-Cavs series this past season and left Cleveland in the worst way possible. All of that, just to be the 2nd-man on a team with 3 superstars. That's disappointing.

Watch games 4 and 6. Game 4 you could really tell he quit and 6 was just about as obvious, despite his stat line. I've watched LeBron play night-after-night and he wasn't just having a "bad game", he was quitting.

I don't get why everyone is saying that he is going to be second on the team in the stars line.. he is going to still be way better than D-Wade. Where ever LeBron goes he will be the Captain besides LA. He did the smart decision. Not the horrible decision and take the money he took the career and championships.

Rofl kobe had a broken finger and a bum knee and ankle so thats not a good comparison. I admit lebron is very good but he did give up in the playoffs and thats why I don't like him.

Major_Snake

It showed immaturity, that's for sure.

But take a step back. If the worst thing we can say about him is he's a bit self-centered, that's not bad at all. The man is only 25, and ever since he was in high school, he's had people in his ear telling him how great he is. For him to be self-centered is understandable; he is surrounded by people that coddle him.

There are athletes that have done or been accused of far worse things than that, and Lebron is the one who gets slammed on? That's not right.

Why? Because he switched teams?

No, it's because MJ, Magic, or Bird and even Kobe would have never teamed up together to win rings. They wanted to beat each other. And when they won rings, it meant more than just being on a team of all-stars winning. But LeBron is still young. I think he can still go on a team of his own and be the man before he's 30. MJ didn't start winning rings until he was 30. By that time, D-Wade will be old, Kobe will be real old, and a lot of the stars today like Dirk, Duncan, Garnett, Pierce, etc. will all be either retired or too old. Than LeBron can take over and do his thing...well, that's my theory. In other words, he still has a chance. Right now, he's looking like a villain and a sellout but he's lucky because he's only 25.

Even if those things were true, we aren't talking about it. We are talking about who is a better player. Maybe KD ends up being better down the road. But for the time being, I will take Lebron.

I honestly don't understand all this 'sellout' business. He was a free agent, correct? So that means he had the right to choose which team he wanted to go to. Simple. The only thing I knock on him for was that "Decision" nonsense. It was pathetic -- it only showed his immaturity and his will to be in the spotlight. And he continues show his ridiculousness off the court. . . Referring to himself in the third person in that GQ magazine. Seriously? Racer_XLR is amused.

A free agent signing with another team?

The horror.

It's not that he went to another team that gets people angry, but why and how. He was very immature and all about his ego.

I would put most of the blame on ESPN since they decided to televise "The Decision". And besides, it's hard to blame Lebron for wanting to get out of Cleveland... especially after the way Gilbert reacted. Would you want to play for that guy?

I don't like how LeBron handled this whole situation, but it was a smart move when you consider it was done with the sole intent of winning rings.

He doesn't care, he just wants to win titles.
